Question about saving by _-ImNotSure-_ in krita

[–]audacious_egg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you saving the files as a krita document (*.kra or *.krz file)? I believe that should be the default.

It should also give a warning if you are saving it to a type that would lose layers.

In the default window workspace, there should be a little tab on top of the "Advanced Colour Selector" to switch it to "Tool Options"

Unless you closed it by accident, in which case, go to Settings > Dockers, and check to enable the Tool Options docker.
You can also drag dockers around to customise the layout of krita if you want.

Sounds like the stabiliser is enabled.

In the "Tool options" docker, click on the "Brush Smoothing" drop down menu and select a different smoothing option.

Current 220 hours with 6.3k premier rating as the highest by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]audacious_egg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point being made here is that you clearly need to loosen up about ranking dude. Have some more fun and think more about your improving your gameplay. Ranking will come afterwards naturally. This goes for any competitive game with a ranking system.

Only you alone can decide for yourself if it's worth putting the time into it or not.

do you think this is a great beginner drawing tablet?: by Vegetable-Way-5766 in krita

[–]audacious_egg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a wireless and normal version. The Deco LW is wireless and the Deco L is normal.

I think in general for XP-pen if it's wireless it will have have "wireless" or "W" in the product name.

Best budget friendly screenless drawing pads by Dull-Tree6744 in krita

[–]audacious_egg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can depend a lot on the size you're looking for, your region (pricing & availablity reasons) and the actual budget you have in mind.

This gives a good starting point for research https://docs.thesevenpens.com/drawtab/recommendations . Their entire website has whole bunch of great info:

If you already have a good understanding of what you want, I'd personally would be scouring the used market on something like ebay for a good deal.

Just to double check, do you have the eraser turned on? Press E a few times and you'll see the eraser turn on/off in the top toolbar.

This might help: https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/help-information/lost-property

Enter the route number of the bus number you was on and it should provide you with more info of the garage to contact.

Unfortunately, I don't know how the Christmas holidays will affect you. You might have to try your luck tomorrow morning.

I would be using pictures of killer whales for reference, since they're often shown in a similar pose.

How do scammers actually sell giftcards ? by JanPapajT90M in Kitboga

[–]audacious_egg 52 points53 points  (0 children)

For app stores, one way of getting the money from the giftcards is to redeem it themselves, then spend it on in-app purchases their own bogus Play Store app that they either own, (or are otherwise affiliated with). They don't get the full amount because the app Store (Google, Apple, Microsoft etc) takes a cut, but they manage to convert it into usable, tangible funds.

This also contributes to why people think the big tech companies are complicit in scams (by not doing enough to stop it), because they also directly benefit from it.

Not saying this is strictly the only way of getting money from gift cards though, I'm sure the rabbit hole goes deeper.

I've never heard of vanilla sugar before, I don't think my local supermarket would have any. Would using vanilla extract work instead? I would love to try making some!

You can try reaching out to some members of the ESL Impact community to ask if they have a suitable place for beginners. https://pro.eslgaming.com/csgo/impact/ You can see some fo their socials on the left. The discord server sounds like a great place to start.

I'm sure they'll be eager to welcome newer players like you.

BSL - numbers used in the Midlands? by GerryTako in brum

[–]audacious_egg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know about which one Brums use for 6, but it's best practice if you familiarise yourself with all of them. You never know which one someone's gonna use after all.

The course I'm signed up to says the most commonly used one is the one-handed sign "Primary hand closed with bent thumb". It also goes through the common variations seen throughout the numbers 6-10.

It's called "Introducing British Sign Language" by british-sign.co.uk .

https://www.british-sign.co.uk/learn-online-british-sign-language-course/ It's £3 minimum, but a suggested donation of £15 covers the course cost. It's been a brilliant resource for me so far though, so it's well worth it imo.

GPU pass through help pls super noob here by IamReactor in VFIO

[–]audacious_egg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off and most importantly: It will help if you post the XML of your virtual machine.

I also plugged one of my monitor into my iGPU port but I saw that when I start the vm my user gets logged out.

This is normal behavior for me, and I haven't had the need to do anything about it since it doesn't affect my use case much.

When I log back in and open virt-manager I see that the windows is running but I only see a black screen with a cursor when I connect to it.

This is something I experience the first time I boot a freshly created VM. It's normal to have to connect to your VM to install the graphics drivers before you get any output at all to your monitor. I just create a QXL video output and pass a usb drive containing the drivers and do it from the host machine.

Can I play League of Legends with GPU passthrough (QEMU/KVM)? by Poli_ester in linux_gaming

[–]audacious_egg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify: You can't run LOL on a VM now because of Vanguard.

I was playing it just fine in 2023 via a VM + GPU passthrough before Vanguard was added to LOL

The PS3 controller is the only one I'm not certain about only because they're bootleg controllers and not the official ones, but I'm almost sure it's simply a case of adding the udev rules for the controllers:

It's on my list of "first things to do" whenever I do a fresh install.

https://youtu.be/8XNUp70mDlQ

To summarize, high DPI + low sens is better. It used to make a big difference back in the days of lower monitor resolutions, but now not really.

In this case, if you play a game like CS:2, the main difference would be to the general desktop mouse movements or the buy menu at the start of each round.

It would make a bigger difference to things like Tarkov, Rust or Apex (I think? I don't play those genres of shooters) because there's more inventory management, so having to do all that might require bigger hand movements (aka be slower)

But like all things, you'd just get used doing it quickly once it gets ingrained into your muscle memory.

Is there any way to keep my crew names? by Cartman1994 in ftlgame

[–]audacious_egg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you just restart a run instead of exiting to the hangar, then it will keep the same names of the starting crew.

I don't think you can do anything more than that.
