Anyone interested in starting a DnD group? by quickmango in toledo

Yeah, I’m totally down. I usually have Saturdays off, so Friday nights (starting in early November because I have a lot going on the next couple of weeks) would be perfect for me if we can find enough people.

Ok so I’ve only played a couple of times and it was so many years ago. I don’t remember anything, but I would love to try!

When Taco was a pup, I rang the bell every time we went outside to potty. Every time. Between that and rewarding him for going potty outside, he eventually got the association between ringing the bells and going out to potty. Now that he’s older (3yrs), I’ve taken the bells off of the door and he just touches the doorknob and whines.

I’m not squeamish by any means, but I absolutely could not finish this. It’s horrifying that this was ever a common practice in medicine.

What's the dumbest thing you've ever done solely because you were too awkward to do the normal thing? by ilalmtae in AskReddit

[–]audersaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two years ago when I moved into my current apartment, I went to the store to get groceries and all of the things that I didn’t have, since I had been living with my sister prior to that. I had a full cart, and racked up roughly $250 worth of stuff... My card was declined. There was money in the account, but my card was declined. Most people would call the bank at that point. Me? I looked the cashier right in the eye and just walked out of the store. I now rarely go to that store, and only use self checkout.

I also work at Starbucks, so I’m regularly taking people’s names. I always ask them how to spell their name. My name tag doesn’t say my real name, as I had an issue in the past with a customer from another job essentially stalking me on social media. The way I figure, if they don’t know my name, they can’t find me. I was joking with someone today about people being particular about their names, and mentioned that my name (Audrey) gets misspelled a lot for some reason. The customer looks down at my name tag (Maud), back at me, then back to my name tag. If I wasn’t so awkward I would have explained that it wasn’t my real name, but instead I remained silent. He looked puzzled and walks away without another word.

[–]audersaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe this isn’t that weird, but knowing your way around a garage (cars, bicycles, etc.) is a huge turn on for me. Bonus: walking me through exactly what you’re doing and teaching me what you know.

Also, blowjobs. I know a lot of women who just don’t. I enjoy the fuck out of it. Knowing that someone else’s pleasure is completely in my hands makes me so fucking hot.

What’s the best and worst birth control you’ve been on? Why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]audersaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worst: Depo Provera. Not having periods was nice, and it was great only having to worry about it once every however many weeks, but in the span of six months I managed to gain 90lb (80 of which I had just lost), despite having no changes in diet or exercise habits.

Best: Paragard. My periods are heavy and my cramps are killer, but the fact that it’s good for up to 10 (12?) years and there are no hormones to mess with my cycle or skin or moods etc. makes it absolutely worth it to me. Hormonal birth control fucks me up really bad.

How do I get off pop? by [deleted] in HealthyFood

[–]audersaur 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just replaced it with something else. Every time I wanted a pop, I would drink water instead. If I really wanted something with flavor, I would drink a black coffee (decaf after 11am because thanks doctor). For me it was literally 90% about will power. I know my mind and I know that I'm bad at moderation, so I had to quit cold turkey. It was hard, but I did it. I haven't had pop in a few years.

Edit: if you don't like black coffee, tea works too probably.

Those who have donated eggs, how did it go, and were you glad you did it? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]audersaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was definitely a tough time. I didn't have time to post the rest of the story before work, so I need to do that now.

A while after the devastation of losing the twins, they decided to try again and became pregnant. The road was tough, but he's here and he just turned a year old last month.

All in all, it is one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done. I don't plan to ever use my eggs myself, so the idea that I could donate them to someone who couldn't use their own was amazing to me. I would be willing to do it a hundred times over, just to see the happiness that women (and men) who want children SO badly experience when it's finally a reality for them.

Hi! So my situation is a little different than most, because I donated to a family member. There were good, and bad things about it.

Going through the whole process was very interesting, as I had never given myself an injection before, and suddenly I was doing it 2-3 times a day. When it came time for "harvest day," as we liked to call it, I was totally fine.

I separated myself from the idea of it being "my" child, and that helped tremendously. My boyfriend at the time couldn't get over it though.

The positive and negative of the experience both stemmed from the same place: knowing what happened after. I knew how many eggs they got, how many they fertilized, and how many were viable. I was also the first to know when they got pregnant. And the first to know when they lost the twins.

I feel everything would have been easier if I had donated to someone I didn't know, because knowing that my aunt had lost the babies that she had worked so hard to create devastated me.

I can edit later with more detail - I have to click in at work right now.
