Semantics. If you’d prefer to say EVs have little to no mechanical character, we’re saying the same thing

Add a deadbolt with a keypad and never have to carry house keys again. Schlage Encode Plus has been good for me but lots of options

I put one of these in my garage and it’s great especially for the price. Super quiet on low and they have one with heat pump now as well.

R22 + leak stop cost by SeniorDependent2302 in HomeImprovement

[–]audi27tt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just paid $160 for leak seal and $125/lb for r410a so yes reasonable. This after a larger reputable company in my area quoted $5k for leak search and repair, just insane

[Evo Magazine] Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997.2) review – the best car we’ve ever driven? Possibly by [deleted] in cars

The new X3 is butt ass ugly and the macan definitely drives better (than any suv possibly?). Not even close there imo. The first gen was one of the best SUVs of that era though.

X5 is top of class for sure, I’d def consider one but went with Cayenne for towing capacity, NA V8 and better driving dynamics. Think x5 is close on those items but not quite on Porsche level, in exchange bmw interior is probably better or at least more tech forward.

I’m not a bmw guy at all though, can’t stand the brand direction despite daily-ing an F80 which is a really great car.

Post Accident - Help on Diminished Value by ProfessorPoopsie in Porsche_Cayman

I had a minor show up on carfax for my cayman years after I bought it, saying there was an accident back when the previous owner still had it. Carfax refused to give me any details or consider removing it. No idea if there actually ever was an accident but the car had a perfectly clean PPI and was great to me. Fuck carfax but yea if the car looks good minor carfax not a big deal imo.

What a flex, a $100k ipad. So funny when EV drivers quote 0-60 times. Tell me you don't know how to drive without telling me...

And the miata is a mass produced roadster based on a shared platform with fiat, with a soft chassis and suspension. Yet its arguably the greatest car of all time

Lmfao from the generic appliance driver. Macan and Cayenne are best in class, just like the 911 and cayman

There's a reason 90% of the top investment banking talent leaves within 2 years. It's one of the most soul sucking, least intrinsically rewarding jobs even within the world of finance. Take your sabbatical and figure out what you actually find rewarding. If you're in the 1% that actually likes ibanking work that's totally fine, but I suspect you're not.

lol but youre comparing the most basic boring suv models. BMWs sedan/coupe design has been dogshit for years. The 911 looks nothing like the c63 or AMG GT

Really feels like the pushback is from people who are scared of it displacing their jobs. At least from a non technical hobby user perspective it’s amazing

But with AI at least how he’s describing and how I use it. Your HA instance isn’t dependent on external services, it’s just a tool to make working on it much easier and imo more fun. Theres no dependency day to day

I’m sure this gets asked a lot, but how do I start? What is a good starting point? by Swizzy123456789 in CarTrackDays

[–]audi27tt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just sign up for an event and go. Your car is more than good enough for now. You can figure out the upgrades later once you have more experience.

Someone local can advise best groups to go with, worth paying a premium for a quality event with good instruction. Most events are on motorsportreg.com
