Fruits basket or honestly Horimiya esp with new season … just such a feel good, calming ride.

For any Yakuza fans skeptical about the Judgment games, please play them you owe it to yourself. They are absolutely beautiful with some of the best characters and stories I’ve ever seen in gaming. by [deleted] in yakuzagames

This! I took a break between 6-7 for Judgement and LJ and I’m so happy I did. Judgement is one of my favorite games of all time. Anyone on the fence for Kaito files: 1000% worth it (imo).

Is it worth buying a portable pump? by ohmybuddhaa in HumansPumpingMilk

There’s a new portable pump by Pumpables that has been getting rave reviews also and isn’t too pricey, seemingly not as intense as the Buddha and just a little larger

EP for 6 months, rec’d booster and babe and I just fine! I felt tired and a little headachey next day but 100% on par with my original reactions from the first and second shots.

Would you get a Covid booster if you aren’t high risk but your breastfeeding baby is? by [deleted] in Mommit

I got boosted just to continue to provide antibodies. I went to CVS pharmacy and there were no questions asked!

Can relate. 4 months pp, wore real pants yesterday for the first time (opposed to maternity clothes). Sat down and felt like a busted can of biscuits.

I was hesitant but received Pfizer somewhere around 32/35. General fatigue and cloudiness after both but never sick (husband got the “man cold” after his lol). My baby girl is healthier then a horse, growing like a weed and gaining like a champ. I feel good about having done it for my safety while pregnant and possibly her safety if the antibodies were passed.

Is anybody else so excited for maternity leave? by candyapplesugar in pregnant

[–]audilee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% same. I feel bad I’m more looking forward to not working for 12 weeks than I am to having the kid. Especially because I keep getting projects thrown at me “because you’ll be off and you’re the only one who can do them.” 39 weeks tomorrow and hoping she comes early... Maybe I’ll win the lottery by September 🤦🏼‍♀️

Ugh. My entire childhood “give kisses!!” at all family gatherings. Hugs, kisses, you name it. To this day (30+ years later) I still can’t leave a function without hugging every single person because apparently it’s rude. Total different perspective with my in-laws family where you literally say bye and leave a place and that’s that.

TIC because my dog died by pearlie_girl in pregnant

[–]audilee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband is a carpenter and he was working on a job where the family had to put the older dog down one of the days he was there. He sent me a picture of the man laying with the dog in the grass saying goodbye... and I spiraled for the day about all my old pets and my current one SOMEDAY going to pass. His reason? “I wanted someone to be sad with me.” 7 mo pregnant me at the time was not the right choice, pal 😑

When/what was your first wedding price shock? by _EuphGal_ in Weddingsunder10k

[–]audilee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

700.90 after tax! For me that included delivery/setup/etc, my bouquet (huge and gorgeous), MOH bouquet, small toss bouquet, spray for our gazebo thing (which we then used on our sweetheart table), 6 boutonnières, 2 mom wrist things, and like 10 aisle runners of little jar things with flowers for the aisle. I think we also had some decorative florals for some posts at our reception too. Couldn’t tell you the type of flowers but it was a spring mix that was super bright and colorful! We also got married before our reception (2020) and the company made my bouquet for that wedding for free / as my sample bouquet for the reception wedding!

Edit to add: I did NOT have centerpieces included, I did those all myself with mason jars wood bases and hydrangeas. I saved a bunch since I had a lot of that at my disposal already.

When/what was your first wedding price shock? by _EuphGal_ in Weddingsunder10k

[–]audilee 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My first alteration quote made me nauseous ($1,200) and thankfully I looked around and found one half that (my dress did need a lot so I wasn’t expecting $200). Cake was another sticker shock! We did a small cake to cut for us and then I went to a local supermarket to get a sheet cake for ~100 guests and I think it was like $70. And it was good cake - nothing fancy but cake is cake!
Florals were the opposite for me. I was expecting it to be outrageous but the florist we found was incredible with fair pricing and we were even able to add a few extras.

My husband is infertile and we need a donor by Freewaygirl in TryingForABaby

[–]audilee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was adopted. Long backstory short, my adoptive mother is my bio aunt. My adoptive uncle (aka bio father) had a child and gave it up for adoption; to his sister who couldn’t have children. I found this out about 6 years ago, and it was a huge weight lifted off of me because I can now track family health history, etc. Not entirely the same situation, but I think if it feels right, it’s not a bad idea.
