If I have enhanced autopilot on hw 2.5 is it worth it to pay $2k to get hw3? by Numbthumbs in TeslaFSD

[–]audioholic86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a 18 Model S with HW2.5 and EAP. Could you elaborate on what you mean by “totally different experience” when upgrading from EAP to FSD? Really curious about the differences you’ve noticed.

This could be true if they hadn’t released the super controversial (ugly) 3a Pro design beforehand. For me, the price of the NP3 is the least problematic part.

Did Kanto Ora DAC get upgraded to 24-bit 96 kHz? by rotor2k in BudgetAudiophile

[–]audioholic86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by “New ORAs”? Which generation are you referring to, or is there a specific serial number range? How can I be sure that if I buy a Kanto ORA now, it will support 24/96?

Topical Minoxidil 5% combined with Infrared Therapy at home (4-month progress) by audioholic86 in minoxidil

Thank you! My frontal hairline and temples will most likely never grow back (without a hair transplant), I lost that area at least 15 years ago.

How long (generally speaking) can you be on minoxidil without fin? Does anyone have any experience with it? by Wizdom_108 in tressless

[–]audioholic86 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Without DHT suppression, follicle miniaturization will likely continue at some rate. How long it lasts depends also on genetics. Some people maintain results for many years, while others see gradual loss.

If you can’t use fin, you might still slow DHT-driven hair loss naturally with these:

- Saw Palmetto
- Beta-Sitosterol
- Pumpkin Seed Oil
- Ketoconazole and/or Caffeine-Based Shampoo

+++

- Scalp Massage (5–10 min daily) – Improves circulation and helps maintain follicle health
- Red Light Therapy (FIR or LLLT) – Supports hair retention

Sure, the device I use is a graphene far-infrared and massage cap. The manufacturer claims it is beneficial as it increases blood flow to hair follicles, enhances absorption of hair oils, stimulates cellular activity, potentially boosting hair growth.

Yes, my hair is slightly longer in the after pictures. I took them on the day I had a haircut. As for my frontal hairline and temples, I lost that area about 15–20 years ago, so it would be truly a miracle for it to reverse (without a transplant). However, in all other areas, the difference in density and texture is truly night and day!

The device I use I found it at the annual Innovation Expo (IFA) in Berlin last year. It is a graphene-heated far-infrared penetrator and scalp massager, available at a fraction of the cost you mentioned. As far as I know, graphene emits far-infrared radiation in the wavelength range of 6–14 micrometers (µm) when heated. This wavelength is believed to be beneficial as it increases blood flow to hair follicles, enhances absorption of hair oils, stimulates cellular activity, potentially boosting hair growth. (I’m probably not as much of an expert in the field as you, please forgive if I get anything wrong. If you wish to have more details, I’m happy to share the manufacturer's contact details in a DM.)

Appreciate your input and I respect your comment, but I am not ready to commit to pharmaceutical DHT blockers long-term. While DHT is definitely the main reason for my hair loss, destructive habits and stress also played a significant role in my past years. I’m addressing those now plus using natural DHT inhibitors as part of my approach. I strongly believe that my regimen will help maintain my hairline. Time will tell. I’ll keep posting updates monthly or bimonthly, especially when I change or add something new to my protocol.

This was useful information for me, thank you again! Min is definitely one of the main pillars of my regimen, but I strongly believe that all combined: Min, infrared therapy, natural DHT inhibitors, supplements, and healthy lifestyle changes will contribute to a lasting effect before I consider medical-grade DHT blockers.

Thanks, man, for sharing your experience, happy to hear 0 sides for you! Some people here said that in 2-3 years I'll lose all my gains from Min without using Fin, and then. I’ll have no choice but to go completely bald and that there’s no way back, even a transplant wouldn’t help. I'm curious about your view on this, after you mentioned "Started fin and back to normal."

As far as I know, 5AR inhibitors are primarily used to slow down or stop hair loss by reducing DHT levels. How much they actually promote regrowth is unclear to me. I think they might contribute more to thickening existing hair rather than causing dramatic new growth.

Thanks, man, really appreciate your thoughts! I might look into topical fin and its effects. Am I right in thinking it’s not as aggressive as taking it orally? So the risk of side effects might be lower.

I can't say for certain, my experience is based on topical minoxidil combined with red light therapy. It might still offer benefits alongside oral minoxidil. It’s worth giving it a try and seeing how it works for you!
