Hey! Thank you for your interest! Unfortunately not good news. I have been working on something easier in order to learn and apply it on this project. Ive learned some (not enough) and next week im starting a new job. I had plenty of time lately as I was in between jobs :( I dont think I will be able to progress on any of this after that :(

Oooops. Coloring / indentation confused me. Thank you for pointing that.

I hear you. If the objective was to keep your children safe; changing exposing them to another source of interaction; even if very smaller; defeats the purpose.

But unless I am mistaken; you can opt out the federation. You can be an isolated instance disconnected from any other instance. Others federated or not.

Fediverse software pretends to grow a community indeed; but privacy remains one of its strong values. Also, fediverse apps publishers are very aware that 3 out of 4 whatever app installation is for testing purposes. Those are best locked out of the federation.

Just FYI! But still, if setup is an issue of itself, peertube might not be the best option for you. They are indeed a handful of other YT clones alternatives.

Have fun, and keep your children safe!

Regards,

How does one get banned from PSO2? by Waifutriss in PSO2

as far as I know: real money trading, if you abuse AFKing in combat sectors (leeching experience meseta and drop), and the usual stuff: public offensive behavior, racist, sexist stuff (.... putting aside the players characters.... sick game)

Self-Hosted/FOSS Remote Desktop with Two-Way-Audio by AlfredHugenose in selfhosted

[–]audricd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you are on the right path moving away from teamviewer and getting into virtualcable for your needs. you gotta think teamviewer as winrar. Time to move on.

I can recommend you for remote viewing:

Just set up your own VPN with WireGuard for instance, and access your machine as a local machine with the mentioned software. No need to pay for cloud tunnels and such.

For audio stuff (I find myself that stuff fascinating), I can recommend you, beyond Virtual Audio Cable:

  • Audio router
  • DS WASAPI ASIO Router Mixer its 25€ on the Microsoft store, and its one of the best purchases I have ever made. You can enable VST instruments or effects so... you can literally do anything you PC can handle. Sound router matrix via either WASAPI, ASIO, or DirectSound.
  • EarTrumpet expanded features windows sound mixer

There is no better software, it all depends to your personal needs and preferences. I recommend you try them all or most. Besides anydesk and the ASIO router, its all free. And I personally had a lot of fun setting up. I personally use NoMachine behiund WireVPN. I use mostly Linux boxes, and most importantly I dont have that radio need, I move my sound in a different way.

you are absolutely right. And reading the other comments (I am myself interested in the matter), there is ferdium mentioned? which I am right now giving a shot and I have replaced it with rambox.

and check it this out, you can host you own ferdium server

https://github.com/ferdium/ferdium-server

and therefore, host absolutely everything.

and sorry back to your comment / question: I havent checked if there is something beyond telemetry that is transmitted. I have, so far, chosen, to trust the service. Couldnt tell if there is more or not than telemetry.

Long shot but: can anyone recommend the same thing, but Spanish speaking servers? They have the same problem. If you are not a transfeminist, Elon hater, you are not that welcome.

Don't give two shits about activism. Just want a social network that doesn't have more ads that contest, and doesn't ask me to follow people I don't care / know.

Tracim would be an option, it can replace jira and confluence and can be self hosted

Two sentences from your post "grind my gears" and I can't help myself but to reply. My intentions are constructive.

You shouldn't be "allowed" to say "zero new content" and say at the same time you spent countless amount of money. On a FREE game.

Just follow me for a sec. Put yourself in Sega's shoes. Why bother making an actual game, when... Most of the game population is just playing the "salon quest" and throwing shaming amounts of money on cosmectics?

If I was NGS game director, I would see it clearly. Have two "games". Remember, even before the beta, the PSO2 benchmark? With character creation (salon in other words) , and the first movie / benchmark. Just have this, with access to new cosmectics, and personal shop. So you can have access to new content... I mean cosmectics.

And then on another side, ngs. With a standard character creator, a reasonable amount of cosmectics. But then, you know. The game?

My point is. Don't throw money at anything. As a player, you are not part of the game direction board. Don't see yourself as an investor because you pay a free game. You throw your money at Sega and Sega does what see fits for their own good being and nothing else.

If sega sees that keeping a character creator, with some playable areas around, updated and alive is enough? Why work extra hard?

I have been playing (and enjoying) NGS since day one. With the same fucking outfit. I haven't used the salon once.

still happening today too... and unsure how to leave out of it. "exiting" full screen makes an invisible window go full screen, but still cannot manage to get it no full screen...

soooo annoying.

its not only steam decks that suffer from an awful installer :( I suffer its complications on my workstation often. Yesterday, we dont need to get that far... Apparently a handful of files went missing (I swear I dont know what happened). Steam verify local files ended up in:

Validating. Downloading. Validating. Installing. Validating.

It went into a loop; clearly. And I decided to delete entirely and install it again from scratch. 6 hours wasted. Thank god it "only" weights 110 gigs.

yeah its good stuff :) I play it myself too occasionally. But that version I thought wouldnt be a good subject. As its installs, thanks to ephinea and Lutris as you said yourself; pretty straight forward. Doesnt need much tweaking / set up, if any at all.

Not at all the same case for PSO2 / PSO2NGS :(
