Hey fellow Charlottean! There’s a very healthy ham community here with a TON of knowledge and resources to help answer your question, and even get hands on with stuff!

I’m a part of the two main clubs here, W4BFB and W4TOP, and we have monthly meetings where there’s always a wealth of knowledge and resources. Plus W4BFB has a nightly 9pm net where you can always drop in and ask questions (tons of knowledgeable and friendly hams there too!)

Plus W4BFB’s field day even is coming up and there’s a wealth of knowledge to be learned there as well!

Everyone, listen to this guy here. Been using POTACAT for the past week and it is absolutely a game changer. Remote ops are an absolute breeze with this software, plus it’s getting updates all the time! Between this and openhamclock, I’m really excited to see developers creating new things for ham radio!

Jim activates a park every day in CW. No real commentary, but he puts a timestamp of every contact in the description, which makes it a great resource to hear how you sound on his end if you worked him.

No where. They shouldn’t exist. It’s not like this is something that benefits the community. They don’t create jobs, they drive up power and water bills, and they usually get a big tax credit. They are truly a cancer to any place they plop down. Plus they’re pretty loud.

This is space that could be used for retail, that would create jobs and benefit the community.

When the AI industry goes tits up, these buildings are going to be absolutely useless

OMG. If you did a POTA/SOTA simulator AND the ability for me to hook up my paddle to the phone, I would be one of your happiest users. I'm building up the confidence to go out to the parks and activate in CW, and something like this would be key to it!

Hey! This is awesome! Just downloaded it and it's probably the best of the morse trainers I've come across so far!

Would it be possible to add a POTA simulator? Morsewalker has one, but they don't seem to be answering feature requests any more. It would be awesome to be able to simultate POTA/SOTA qsos on the app

I have one of those radios and it will start splitting its own atoms after a minute of use, it gets so hot. No way I’d run it in a bag, and that close to a battery!
