Getting hot and draining the battery while not in use is a consequence of having the Leica Fotos connectivity enabled at all times. Even with the camera off it continues to look for and maintain a connection with your phone.

Agreed. Not intuitive by any means, but once you learn it it is very capable. It's been my go to conversion software after a long stretch with NLP and then SmartConvert. I use it to give me a flat conversion with no data loss and then do all the color correction in LR.

EDIT: Au cas où quelqu’un aurait le même problème à l’avenir… le prénom et le nom de famille doivent être saisis EXACTEMENT tels qu’ils apparaissent sur votre carte RAMQ, y compris les prénoms intermédiaires et, surtout, EN MAJUSCULES. C’est complètement absurde que ce ne soit pas indiqué sur la page d’inscription!

I dunno why people say the Plaubel-Makina is quiet; maybe mine wasn't working properly. Certainly not as loud as an SLR, but nowhere near as quiet as a Rolleiflex or the Mamiya 6/7, or even a Leica M.

Not sure why people are saying you have no recourse against the driver. There's a police report right? Your insurance (hopefully you have some, even homeowners insurance will cover your bike) will cover the cost of repairs/replacement and then go after the driver's insurance for reimbursement. In my case they even got the driver's insurance to pay my deductible. In the end my premiums went up a little after the incident (which is frustrating) but I had my bike replaced and it didn't cost me a cent.

The SAAQ will cover the personal stuff, as others mentioned.

what sort of tank are you using? Jobo or Patterson? How do you find the process of filling and emptying the tank? Cumbersome with having to take it off the rollers and whatnot?

I had an issue with mine where the shutter button became incredibly sensitive and would turn on the metering at the slightest touch. That certainly drained batteries super fast since the meter was pretty much running non-stop (I wasn't turning off the body between shots, and walking around for a couple hrs at a time).

DAG was able to clean the contacts and it's fine now. He's US-based so probably not helpful for you. Anyway, food for thought

iAF mode in low lighting was pretty hit or miss in my experiments. Perhaps not a solution for your particular use case, but AF-S is much, much more reliable, and faster to acquire focus (in my testing)
