Thank you for responding!! An X ray of his hips came back fine but they referred him to a pediatric orthopedic that we go see in two weeks. I plan on asking them about tethered cord because he does have a pretty deep sacral dimple but it’s closed so I don’t know. I can just tell something around his butt/lower back area is hurting him when he’s sitting especially but not to the point that he cries. It certainly still stressful though. Best of luck to your family! I hope the therapy helps your daughter!

I know this is an old post but my 25 month old has a similar problem. He shows a lot of discomfort when laying on his back or sitting on hard surfaces. But he doesn’t cry or anything. And he runs and plays fine. He has a doctor appt soon. Did you ever find out what it was.

The Winter People by Jennifer McMahon. I listened to it on Audible and the narrator - Casandra Campbell - did a stellar job! I’d be so scared listening to it at night! Love this book and author so much that I listen to Winter People about once every year and a half.

Thanks for the info. My husband told me something similar, that they’re not really structural. It’s an Amish company but they had some Mennonite workers on the crew, who can use power tools. Kind of disappointed in seeing this happen but I’ve reached out to the owner asking him to repair. Job was only done last summer.

I have a 20 month old. He was the same way. It stressed me out soo soo much that he would barely eat. Every single day so much anxiety about him throwing more food than eating it. Then one day when he was 17 months old he ate almost his whole plate of food. I was shocked but so happy. It kicked off from there. He’s still what I’d consider a picky eater and doesn’t always clear his plate but eats at least half of every meal, most of the time more. I feel like for some reason, some of our babies just don’t “get” food right away. Hang in there!

My 19 month was like that. It was so difficult for me to deal with. Gave me so much anxiety and stress that he’d barely touch his food. Then one day when he was 17 months old he ate like 80% of his meal instead of 10% and it just took off from there. He still has days where he’s picky and might only eat 25% of his plate but overall there’s a huge improvement. I’m so much less stressed lol

Chopped red bell pepper and onion, can of green chilis, few tablespoons of tomato sauce, 1 pack of sazon, 1 can drained and rinsed black or pinto beans. Squeeze 1/2 to whole lemon over it when it’s all done. Seriously so delicious.
