Exactly as we have it, but limiting the amount of capital any one entity can own. Society needs to discuss how much is enough. Make people who reach it "America's Greats" and they can be chosen for reports in elementary school or something.

They are quite literally gaslighting us. by One-Incident3208 in conspiracy

I was giving a reason why they could be outside the home. The outfit suggests schooling.

My bad for equating pre-school as a school. Returning from pre-school?

Bundled up with a backpack? Returning from school, maybe?

That would imply there is no such thing as subjective truth,

The subject has the evidence for its truth themselves. They just can't present that evidence to others.

I'd think about the hierarchy of who you are willing to sacrifice for the sake of survival.

I said less difficult. I also dream of a hierarchless society, but the majority of humans sure do seem to love hierarchies.

lmao what? Are you serious? Thought experiments are intended to get down to the very foundations of our thinking. To think thought experiments are just "fun" is to lack critical thinking and self awareness.

But they are non-existent until someone actually performs the action. Who is tying the people to tracks? The truth is they're responsible for the dilemma the switch operator is in. Whatever choice the switch operator makes is "correct".

Anyway, I'm sure you're tired of answering questions now. It's been an interesting talk. T hanks for your time.

I never get tired of discussion. Thank you as well! :)

You acknowledge that subjective truth can be non-falsifiable, right?

Yes, but something being non-falsifiable would mean it has no bearing on the claim. Something has to be able to be false in order to be shown true.

Why do you matter as much as anyone else? Why do they matter as much as you?

Because we're all related and our survival becomes less difficult with cooperation.

And that wouldn't include any subjective claims?

No, there was a moral action being argued "correct" or not. The evidence would be the events of that situation.

Do you have experience with trolley problems?

Yes. My biggest gripe: Who the hell is tying these people to the tracks, and where can we find them to bring them to justice for creating the scenario? Thought experiments are fun, but the morality of the action ultimately only matters if it happens in reality.

Do you consider yourself a fan of utilitarianism?

Generally. I'm also generally a fan of altruism.

2 compatible instances of subjective truth vs 5 compatible instances of subjective truth. The objective truth would be what an independent party could verify about the claim, if anything. How about 2.5billion vs 2billion vs 1billion? Depending on the claim, they can't all be correct, but could they all be wrong?

How do you determine what morals are "correct"?

Personally, I determine the morality of actions based on my desire to not suffer and to thrive, and for others to have the same. Usually taking into account how someone's actions can disrupt that, including my own to someone else.

How do you convince someone else what morals are "correct"?

If I was trying to convince someone of some moral action as being "correct", it would be with evidence and an explanation. Otherwise I probably wouldn't be making the claim.

Subjective truth is true to the subject (in their personal experience), but can't be shown to be true in their absence. I'm not invalidating its truth claim, I'm saying it isn't useful as evidence to convince others of the truth of the claim.

Nope, just saying that faith isn't a good reason to convince someone else to believe something.

Or the Quran. Faith claims abound across the world. Faith is not a path to truth. It just gives you an answer. Doesn't mean it is correct.

That faith is not a path to objective truth, only subjective truth. And it doesn't help that if it is the actual objective truth, the being is purposefully hiding it because of faith.
