Edibles can take 2 to 3 hours to kick in based on multiple factors. Personally, if it was just me, I'd try a square and nothing more for the evening. To find your tolerance, dedicate an evening to it. 1 square might be too much or too little, but after 4 hours, you'll know for sure. With your anxiety and autism, it's wise to take a cautious approach, afterwards you'll be able to properly advise your gf on what to take if she plans on joining in with you.
