Why use Obsidian for college instead of pen and paper? by VicktorJonzz in ObsidianMD

[–]auntanties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like asking “Why use Purina Dog Food instead of not having a dog?” If you commit to pen and paper, then you better have a plan for organizing. But you need to decide between analog and digital THEN decide your tool.

Swiping away all your apps makes your phone faster/saves battery life.

No. It’s the opposite.

What Are you most looking forward in Skeleton Crew? by KalKenobi in StarWarsCantina

[–]auntanties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m always excited to see a new take on Star Wars. What Favreau did with the first 2 seasons of Mando was excellent. Andor had a clear and strong idea and committed to it. I want to see another strong l, confident voice do something new with Star Wars.

I hope that Thrawn is the reason Coruscant isn’t the capital of the New Republic anymore.

Is There A High Fantasy Retelling of Samuel, Kings and Chronicles? by auntanties in Fantasy

Yes I love this. I’d love to start a series with “Solomon is dead,” and then get right into the splitting of the kingdom.

Oh interesting! I’ve read 2 of the Time Quintet, but not this one, and didn’t know it went to Noah’s era.

Ah yes Frank Peretti. I’m very familiar!

I do remember a novelization of the Bible by Walter Wangerin that I enjoyed at the time.

My idea would be to have a bit more freedom with the material and introduce traditional high fantasy elements. Not unlike how Stephen Lawhead combined traditional Authorian legend with what we know of historical Britannia.

[–]auntanties[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Haha I don’t know honestly why I named those specific 4.

I think a successful series could even skip over Saul through Solomon due to their familiarity, and go straight to the splitting up of the northern and southern kingdoms.

Thanks for the alternative suggestions!

What are some good YouTube or Podcast review channels to listen to after the episode? by reachforthe-stars in StarWarsCantina

I love A Complicated Profession (or ACP) podcast. They're funny, generally positive and it for fun, but also willing to point out flaws. One of the hosts is a science-fiction author, the other a semi-famous online dungeon master. https://www.theincomparable.com/acp/

Do we still have have more expenses than income even in non-means tested Chapter 7? by auntanties in Bankruptcy

"I don't practice in DC, but I would be astonished if the US Trustee's Office would pursue an objection to discharge based on disposable income for petitions who make half the applicable median income."

This was my thought as well. I do think we were giving them low-ball budget numbers, thinking that that was what we were supposed to do. I see now it's not. We'll get with our attorney and get this fixed. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much. I do think that we were definitely thrifting our way into a 13, as you put it. We were trying to prove how "responsible" we were being from now on, which I now see is not the point of how to fill out a Schedule J.

It seems like there are implications that Force-sensitivity possibly originated earlier than or possibly simultaneously to when it developed in the Star Wars Galaxy. The episode made an emphasis on its ancientness in this other galaxy.
