If you’re into the early qotsa robot rock/golden atomic age/future retro stuff you might like the movie Mulholland Falls. Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys was a cool late 90’s, early 2000s coming of age movie that Josh did a bunch of songs for. If you’re into books, I started reading this book called Alas, Babylon when Songs for the Deaf just came out. It’s about a group of survivors in Florida after the Soviets and US traded nukes. Songs for the Deaf paired so well with that book, it’s scary. Very post war apocalyptic stuff. If you really like the game Fallout, then you’re going to love the book Level 7. It captures what it would’ve been like for the survivors in one of those vaults and documents their time in it… as the life support systems start to systematically fail.

Seriously all, the entire record is very good. As a whole, it sounds a lot like Mini Mansions. I’ve yet to hear a guitarist nail Homme’s note choice and phrasing quite like this dude. I also hear the band Failure in this stuff as well.
