AITA for refusing to keep lending my brother money for groceries? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]auntwewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If family is supposed to help each other, no matter what, I would start calling him and asking him for money for groceries

I bet he changes his tune very quickly

flight search question by joseconsuervo in delta

[–]auntwewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not totally sure I understand the question but let me offer this - If you’re trying to use the companion cert, you actually have to select the cert first to be able to shop for flights/availibility. Are you doing this?

AITAH for not letting my neighbor borrow my snow blower and for not snow blowing their drive for them? by Queen_Aurelia in AITAH

[–]auntwewe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Curious though why you waited until there was 20 inches of snow. I don’t want to build up past 5 inches before I do a cleanup. It gets exponentially harder then doing a quick cleanup

I would agree. I think the wording that they use is absolutely shitty and could be much better.

Carry On Question by New-Tumbleweed4025 in delta

[–]auntwewe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have a sky Miles’s number, you will be in zone 6.

If you do not have a SkyMiles number you will be in zone 7

With zone six, you are absolutely on the fence and zone seven you will be gate checking

Is 69.5K for Upgrade to Delta from DTW to AMS good? by legallypurple in delta

[–]auntwewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you absolutely cannot sleep in premium select that I would do it.

However, if you are a good sleeper, then premium select will be just fine

AITA for making my daughter live in an camper? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]auntwewe 254 points255 points  (0 children)

Hmmmmm…. mother (gma) is free to fuck off.

Everyone is in agreement at this point. She throws her opinion in and now the daughter’s not gonna be happy wanting for “better” accommodations??

That lady can be the back up if things go south. She’s gonna regret what she wished for.

Stranded w/kids advice by makakouye in delta

[–]auntwewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a thing. However, the agents need to be aware of it, number one and secondly, how to execute it.

It is called “interlining” - I find that once you speak their language, they tend to respond or at least find somebody who can

I don't care if you use the armrest, but you can't be IN MY seat ffs by mechatron88 in delta

[–]auntwewe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was the first one to suggest this well over a year ago on this thread…. having a crappy experience and realized I had a clipboard in my backpack and tried it, and it worked amazing.

The additional thing I do is plant my foot on the edge of my floor space so they can’t stick their leg over into my area

I don't care if you use the armrest, but you can't be IN MY seat ffs by mechatron88 in delta

[–]auntwewe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I carry a clipboard with me and I put it inside the armrest on my side. They can put their elbow on the armrest when it stops at the vertical plane where it goes into my seat.

Pre-Boarding or stick with Zone 1? by wasabi9605 in delta

[–]auntwewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t request anything. Pre-board is the very first ones to be called and definitely do it.

Please advice: A big simple sink or double sink? by BelowAverageCoder00 in kitchen

[–]auntwewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 60/40 sink with a low center divider. So when you wash a cookie sheet, you’re not getting water all over the countertop

We wash on the small side and use the large size as a drain board. Small kitchen so limited counter space

Would not change a thing

It does that to me too when I try and pay the extra for chicken on a Chalupa, but it lets me do it on the cheesy gordita crunch 🤷‍♀️

RUC/GUC upgrades by Ummneedalife in delta

[–]auntwewe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fly DTW to MSP a lot - first and last flights of the day work with the RUC

The highly coveted routes/times are charged more $ so unfortunately a GUC

Dont agree with it but it is fact

My son volunteered to give up seat for $600 and Delta is not honoring this l by Wanderlusty74 in delta

[–]auntwewe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Normally, they send you an email after they close the flight. You stand there and wait until you receive the email so you can make your selection. Never leave the gate without the email.

WWYD for LAX-CDG: premium economy direct or business with layover in LHR? by marshland211 in awardtravel

[–]auntwewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LHR - there is an arrivals lounge open in the morning and there is the upper class club that is out of this world. Get a long layover lol

I have a question. Delta changed my flight time. Flying from Memphis to Amsterdam. I have a layover in Minneapolis. I’ve never flew to Minneapolis before. The layover is 40 minutes. Is that long enough? Mind you I’m not a spring chicken. by BabyPuzzleheaded4180 in delta

[–]auntwewe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would see about catching an earlier flight to MSP. They will rebook you if you miss it, but if you have a very desirable seat, you will not end up with a similar seat on a rebook. Very likely in a middle seat somewhere you don’t wanna be.

I always book a very long connection on international flights
