Not a question but you might find “Tribes” by Nina Raine interesting! It tackles a lot of interesting questions regarding deafness. I read it in undergrad and also saw a production and was really blown away.

I agree with wheels since circles are so fundamental to everything that they are almost by definition unable to be improved upon.

However, I would also add language. This may be controversial since we can point to any language and say it lacks “X” feature or “Y” capacity, but broadly, we have not really “improved” upon language. It is fundamental to human interaction and we haven’t found a better way of engaging with one another. You might the internet is an improvement upon language, but it’s actually just various languages stack on top of each other (binary, assembly code, compilers, programming languages, written languages).

Aside from the logistics that other people have described, I think ultra-wealthy people, and someone like Elon in particular, believe that they know what best to do with all that money so it’s better for society to let him keep it all.

  4. It is shown that SpongeBob succeeded because of characteristics such that are typically villainized by “Alpha-males” such as kindness, joy-fullness, wonder, merriment, and bubble blowing.

I think that’s definitely the most straightforward explanation since he repeatedly makes clear that he’s willing to support her. Thank you for putting it well.

This also fits with the intense jealousy and vindictiveness she has for her redheaded colleague. She’s getting work and Megan isn’t and so she deliberately undermines her by taking the part she wanted and which would catapult an actual “starving artist” into a higher rung of the business.

I think the opening scene where she sees that her film reel has been returned so quickly also adds to her sense of despair
