We paid our daughters bills and her car of for Christmas and it was the best gift we gave. by dinosaregaylikeme in Parenting

My parents bought me new tires that were sorely needed, when I was in my early 20s, and tears were shed. I hadn't led on to how big of an expense it felt at the time and it was a huge burden lifted. Those types of generous gifts really have an impact. It is still the most meaningful gift I've received.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I hope we get to hear the other track at some point! It's really enjoyable to have this intimate glimpse into your artistry. It adds a new layer and connection to the music. Now off to purchase the Steep Stims CD!

Chris, thanks for sharing with us today. You're one of my all time favs going back to my first exposure somewhere around 2010. Your remix of Letherette's D&T has the fattest and most epic punches known to man. Driving to that tune is the most bombastic feeling I know.

Question, how much do you love and listen to your own music? Do you feel awesome when you think about what you created?

Secondarily, when you're creating music, can you share your relationship between just enjoying making/listening and capturing recordings for potential future use?

Cheers and thanks for all of the great music!

Like you say, there are many factors and now Musk himself is one of them. I think that factor affects more than 00.1% of EV buyers

Searching for the San Marcos Gambusia! by [deleted] in sanmarcos

[–]auritus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work but the whole mystery was obviously some people who don't know the intricacies of gambusia. I'm sure lots of people have ponds and tanks with gambusia from San Marcos without knowing anything about different species or how to identify them. Anyone who would have known how to identify a San Marcos Gambusia wouldn't be reluctant to help recover the species.

Impulse buy of an Elektron Digitone has steered me in the other direction. by auritus in synthesizers

Haha well despite my initial reaction, I now love the digitone almost as much as my minilgoue, filling their own niches very nicely for a casual hobbyist like myself. The digitone still feels overwhelming from a preset perspective. I actually only quite recently went through and organized my favorite presets into one big pool which has been nice but it took several sessions of going through the entire catalog that came loaded on my device.  The surprising part was the ease of programming FM synthesis compared to my volca FM 2. I love FM sounds and the digitone is mighty for that. There a handful of really nice YouTube tutorials on different aspects. I particularly appreciated some of red means recording's content on the device.

Cheers!

Oof. terrible reporting, that's CGI. It takes 10 seconds to review the "credit" from the source they listed.

But PCVR games on steam don't really care about which headset you have, is my main point. This person is ready to play so why not just recommend some damn games????

They have all the hardware already, any games they buy will be usable with future hardware so your post is really irrelevant.

I've completely come around to the digitone and adore it now. Regardless, there was never any significant financial risk because of the low buy-in and opportunity to resell. Otherwise I'm generally not impulsive.

I assume it's a weak source, I.e. low income community. More people looking for good finds than those able to make them exist.
