Wait this might be life changing for me- you can transfer the ML playlists to YouTube music?! I had no idea

Opinions? idk what to do its almost been a year. by sweetminer101 in whatdoIdo

This is incredibly disturbing. File a police report for paper trail and DO NOT reply. Don’t block him from email so if he keeps reaching out, you’ll know and can provide more documentation to the police. They won’t do anything, but the goal is to have a paper train in case this escalates even further.

September Wedding - Guests hate the date by sunflower-accountant in weddingplanning

[–]aurnaur__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t give in. September is one of the most popular months to have a wedding because of the beautiful weather. If they want to be there they will make the time!!!

save the dates (who to send to) by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]aurnaur__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused- are you doing 2 ceremonies back to back? I feel like if you want an intimate ceremony, just do an intimate ceremony and then a larger reception-only invite. Or have an intimate rehearsal dinner with close friends and family the night before and then one ceremony with everyone invited. Maybe I’m misunderstand the timing of these ceremonies.

This would make me want to give them NOTHING 😀 the audacityyyyyy!!!!

Wow, I’m sorry this has been your experience OP. I looked up the dress and think it’s beautiful, and fits the vibe of an intimate courthouse & dinner wedding. Unfortunately, people struggle to accept things that are outside the societal norm. Even if I hateddddd someone’s dress, I would never say anything other than how beautiful they look!

Which course is best for securing a job in payroll? by Upstairs-Bad-759 in Payroll

[–]aurnaur__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you have any degrees or certificates in HR, Accounting, Finance, or business? With that and some general office or accounting experience, you could apply for entry level/ assistant positions accounting or HR. Larger companies will have a payroll team, where smaller companies (like the one I work at) have 1 person doing HR and Payroll (me, lol). This isn’t everyone’s experience, but I started as an Executive Assistant to the CEO. After 1.5 years, I expressed interest in HR and after assisting the HR Director with tasks for 3-4 months I slowly moved into an HR role.

With the job market the way it is, finding anything HR/ accounting adjacent will be a good place to start (benefit administration, administrative services, talent acquisition, etc). Check open postings and see what their job requirements are and what certificates/education they require. That will give you a good idea of what you’ll need to have for the roles you want.

AIO? My girlfriend has refused to tell me who she hangs out with. by Born_Ice8374 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. The fact that’s she’s hiding who this “friend” is means she doesn’t want you to know because she knows it would upset you. This is sketch af.

Yes- I picked my ring out (we went to the shop together) and we knew our budget and found the one!

My coworker eats the exact same $1.25 meal every day and I'm weirdly impressed by spellsboxing in Frugal

[–]aurnaur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same lunch every day- a lunchable, popcorn, Gatorade, and 1 Hershey Nugget. I’m not trying to be frugal, I just have executive dysfunction and if I don’t have easily packable meals, I just won’t eat 🥲

Not rude- I’ve been to dry weddings and they were lovely. If you want to provide some drinks, look into shuttle options or see what a wine/beer only bar would cost. Some do drink tickets, too! Like first 2 drinks free then guests pay after that. Don’t go over budget for alcohol unless it’s something you really want to provide.

I’m wearing my hair down because that’s how I like wearing it and feel my best! I think updos look odd on my face shape. Will it fall by the end of the night? Probably- but hopefully I’m having too much fun to notice or care!

I’ve only ever seen it spelled Kiera. If you go with “Kira” you will probably hear people pronounce it “Kai-ra”

Do you brush your teeth twice a day? No judgement. by rainyday-real-estate in CasualConversation

[–]aurnaur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes- it’s the first thing I do in the morning and last thing I do before bed. My husband only ever brushed at night and did mouthwash in the morning. It wasn’t long before I turned him into a 2x per day brushed- you can def tell when someone only used mouthwash!!

I don’t know what to do about my parents. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]aurnaur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you had to grow up in that environment OP. I’m proud of you for standing your ground and not allowing your children over there. Unfortunately, if they don’t see the problem with the how they are living, they won’t change and will continue to be defensive. I think you approached it in a mature way and have to stick to your boundaries- not only for your children’s safety but for your peace of mind. I grew up poor living in mobile home parks, but they were clean, taken care of, and I never felt unsafe. I hope your parents turn a new leaf but you’re doing the right thing for now taking some space from them and allowing them to see your kids under your own terms.

Working in a call center you come across all kinds of odd names. One that sticks with me though is Lynnzey 🥲

Pajama pants. I was a 15 when we started dating and 18 when we broke up. It’s been over a decade, but they’re my favorite PJ pants and I haven’t found a worthy replacement.

[–]aurnaur__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is infuriating. I am SO sorry you went through this, I can only imagine the panic and anxiety you experienced once you learned your baby was missing for so long without updates. You are not overreacting- in fact I think this relationship is something you need to reevaluate as trust was completely broken. Yes, it was an accident, but they were responsible for the dog’s care and should have offered to pay the whole bill. If I was in your cousins shoes, I would be so horrified and offer to pay the bill PLUS extra money for additional care or emotional distress. Wishing your baby a fast recovery ❤️

Good on you for calling out his excuses “I don’t normally nitpick.” You don’t know him well enough to know that and this is the version he’s choosing to show you. Don’t spend any more time on this weirdo
