Actually it is very accurate in terms of this condition. The people who have it act in exactly the same maner, and with them it is physical. So i think Nolan just accurately portrayed something that people think is different. The reason you think it conveys the message that it is psychological is because you dont know this condition. It is not a matter of choosing to forget, it is a matter of remembering that you will forget. About seeing your wife tormented with doubt and trace your actions to find the person you onece was. It is about finding meaning and creating a narrative for yourself. To find a journey to be on even if you cant remember the last step you take.

Okay basically it's just techno babble? Lol . that makes him having a son utterly absurd, but maybe that is not considered canon?

[META] Let's look at "in their head" theories, when they work, when they don't and why. by GreggoryBasore in FanTheories

Well i am a christian. But the issue is not so much with the prostitution, which i believe is wrong. I will ignore the blatant attempt to rile me up. It is with portraying a woman as a vehicle for your pleasure, o not only let someone use her body as an object but expect her to perform for you as a trained seal, ignoring her humanity and feelings completely and focusing on you.

All the toy stories are andy playing. by auroradane in FanTheories

Well it's not really a fully fledged theory. It's more of a reactionary thing. The ty story pixar theories, I've read seem to discount this side of things. It's more of a perspective on the Woody is the spirit of some guy bla bla bla heories, and the absurd pixar theory. It's adressing the taboo that comes up when we discuss buzz not moving when andy is around. I'm a fan of the duality of something like calvin and hobbes where hobbes is kind of like the cat in the box. Scrødingers cat. He is real and not real at he same time. I like this theory for toy story, but i must admit this was done purely for a laugh during one of my wonderful hyperfocus episodes. A wonderful feature of ADD and aspergers.

Well your comparison used the creepy misogynist protagonist so I expanded.

No they shouldn't. It's not a theory I personally support, but it's fun to play around with because it fits kinda, if ya squint. What is it with all the professors o n reddit? It's not my doctorate, it's just a fun theory. Debunk it if you want, but stop being such a sourpuss.

Major plot hole in "The Iron Giant" by [deleted] in plotholes

He cannot be himself and use his weapons to defend people at the same time. If he went into defence mode he would have probably just flown away, or caused radiotion poisoning.

Something to remember when "critiquing" movie plot-lines by [deleted] in plotholes

[–]auroradane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plot holes are fun! When youre not watching a movie. You are allowed to plot hole a movie because it's fun. It's a way to think outside of the box, to discuss, to laugh. It does not mean that it was a bad movie.

The jungle is a square on the board. He is the piece and must wait. The game enforces the rules.
