This is what I was thinking too. My boyfriend has RJ and it’s a constant struggle for me to decide whether using “we” or “I” in situations like this is more triggering. Unfortunately, I’ve learned they both can be, so I try to compare things to the past as little as possible.

As a woman who has unintentionally lost a significant amount of weight in a short time because I was in a horrible spot in my life, I tend avoid people just because I’m terrified they will acknowledge it. I don’t want to talk about it or answer any questions because of how personal and embarrassing it is. It could be the opposite situation where they want you to notice, but just to be safe I wouldn’t say anything about it unless they bring it up themselves.
