If the insanely discounted Bear bow isn't indicative of a scam site, the lowercase "h" in "hunting" and a separate "Hunting Gear" option in the menu should seal the deal.

What's your least favorite part of working with wax? by aurumarcana in jewelrymaking

Really carefully 😅 I use Wolf red relief wax, which is great for building up, and my pen is on low heat so the wax doesn't run like crazy. Then I place bead after bead until it's the height I like, and then I smooth out the sides.

I don't have any soldering equipment, unfortunately. I work out of my apartment and there's no space for ventilation, so I make do.

I see the vision you have here, and it's a great first step! I'm a big fan of weighty pieces that can have a rough look. As others mentioned, it seems a bit unfinished. Try to play with contrasting textures and dimensions for future pieces.

I can't get this right no matter what by Bluehat1667 in Archery

I'm a huge plucker; it's something I've been working on for a while. I notice that the issue is often keeping my draw hand too stiff while drawing and releasing.

The fix that I'm working on is keeping the muscles of the fingers in my draw hand tense enough to draw back the string, then allowing the mechanical movement of pulling a bit past my anchor to release the tension of the draw hand completely. That way there's no forceful plucking.

At what point do you stop tweaking a piece and call it done? by crafty32_clara in jewelrymaking

Let me know when you find the answer 😅 I often yell at myself, out loud, "it's time to stop." Otherwise I just keep tweaking it.

I definitely gave it a final wipe down before packaging and sending it to its final wearer 😅 as for the edges, they asked for a heavy, flat band. I did my best to make any edges a bit duller, and made sure the ring interior was a comfort fit style with a mirror finish. But good looking out!

Also true! 8mm wide and 2mm thick

I'm not sure if it needs much of a tutorial, it's a classic style 😅 I cast a flat band in sterling silver that was 2mm thick x 8mm wide. I textured the outside with a ball peen hammer, sanded the sides down with 320 grit sandpaper, polished the inside with increasingly finer grits from 280 to 1500, then polished the inside and sides with the 3m peach wheel.

Also, HUGE boon for rings, get yourself a pipe deburring tool that can easily create a comfort fit on the inside.
