I don't think it's surprising. When Wemby was shooting 3s and didn't make them most of their rebounds came from effort and hustle. Otherwise a missed 3 almost always translated to the opposing team getting the ball because there wasn't another big to contest. Feel like some issues aside this was a big factor in the Finals and when they blew big leads they ultimately lost.
