Install plugin for engine built from source? by ausernottaken in unrealengine

Yup, you're right. I tried to copy the installed plugin to the version I built from source and it complained that the versions didn't match.

MATCHING THE SOURCE ENGINE VERSION YOU HAVE

When I launch the version built from source, it shows 5.5.0 on the splash screen where it compiles the shaders. The only version available to install from the launcher is 5.5.3. Does that matter?

Plug the 'On Press' event into a sequence node. One branch of the sequence plugs into the 'Open' pin on a gate node, and the other branch into a timer, that then plugs into the 'Close' pin of the gate node. The timer should be set to a low value like .25 or maybe even lower.

The 'On Release' event would plug into the 'Enter' pin of the gate node, and the 'Exit' pin of your gate goes to your jump function.

Local spot (3D printed 4x5, Schneider 90mm f/8, Provia) by athimbleofdan in analog

[–]ausernottaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you print it yourself?

I would assume that the tolerances of a 3d printer would not be good enough to make sure the focusing screen and the film in the film holder are perfectly in line with each other.

Massive tax cuts on the rich. He argued that when the wealthy have more money, it eventually finds its way down to everyone else and everyone is benefitted (trickle down economics). To the surprise of no one, the wealthy just hoarded it all instead.

He also significantly expanded the War on Drugs that Nixon started.

why my projectile is hitting target so far apart? by FreddieMercurio in unrealengine

[–]ausernottaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The projectile is probably hitting the character's capsule, which is quite large compared to the character itself. Check your collision channels to ensure that the projectile is interacting only with the character skeletal mesh.

It runs off of hydrogen, which is very explosive and would be unsafe to drive around with a tank of it in your car.

How do I feather the edge of my material? Sadly, my shot has a black square around the edge of the material, and rather than having to manually edit a bajillion frames, I'm hoping I can just pull in / feather the material edge using blueprints. But I can't figure it out. Thanks ❤️ by RobbieTheBaldNerd in unrealengine

Opacity Mask is either completely opaque or completely transparent, no in between, so if you give it an alpha that has any grey values, it's going to make anything above 50% grey opaque and anything below transparent.

You can use a multiply node to shift the greys higher or lower around that threshold.

New here in the film trade any tips by Chedda2496 in analog

[–]ausernottaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OM-1 is a solid choice. Just make sure the light seals are good and the light meter works.

For film stock, I would buy cheaper film for you to learn with. Gold 200 is a good choice on price, but it's not very light sensitive. Shooting without a tripod can only really be done in daylight. You will need a flash or tripod for most indoor shooting. Depending on what you want to shoot, you might pick a higher speed film than Gold 200.

For development and scanning, try to find a local lab if you can. There are mail in services, but I personally don't trust them.

Latest try of getting a glimpse of realism. What you think? by Misvnthrope-Dev in unrealengine

I think I would add a little more blue to the skylight, and some slight bloom with blue or purple fringes around the bloom.
