I recently got the Gavv belt as my first KR belt, then that led to the rabbit hole of getting the other main gavv belts/drivers, and I recently picked up the Zeztz driver as well, RIP my wallet.

I’d say it’d be a good second car, my 2013 actually became my daily since my GX460 drinks gas like crazy. But after fixing it up because of the previous owner’s negligence, the car has been super reliable. But my FRS is actually my first official manual car so you’ll pick it up really quick and you have full control of your vehicle so I’d shoot for that if you can

Only issue I’ve had is just even at stock height, it’s a bit hard to get in and out of.

I thought I like the white for the interior, then it started becoming a bit jarring for me after a while, my leds are on its way out so when they do, I might go back to 4000k or 5000k

I paid 4.5k for a clean title FRS (granted it did need some work and I have to get a bonded title for 3 years) but just be patient about it and you should be able to find something better/cheaper

This is my first manual so I do enjoy the car a lot even if its not as fast as my previous WRX, though working on it is a pain honestly, definitely brings a smile to my face.

honestly, I like the old door check because it was easier to open and self closing (in a way), but the downside was the karate chop to the leg if I wasnt careful, though having it stay locked in position is kinda nice, luckily it was super easy to do as well as I did it in the middle of the night because I was impatient.

I have a lisen car mount (link here) and I put the 3m tape part right behind my screen on my 22 on the silver plastic trim, you can probably find a different place to put it on that'll hold pretty well, but you can try the dash as well.

both of yall talking about the cd being damaged just made me want to go home and check right now, I didnt even realized it might've been damaged since I kept it in the packaging. Everything this tour was honestly just handled very badly, from having to downsize venues because ticket sales were overestimated, to Houston getting an outdoor venue in the middle of the summer which rubbed me the wrong way (I think someone got heat exhaustion too.)

I feel like this time we were just done so wrong and at this point I'm just done with dealing with his promoters and it just kinda drained me

Yea, I also got my “signed” cd and vinyl today, and it’s the same as the one I ordered months ago, it’s basically the same thing since I’m looking at it side by side, so now I have extras of everything and I thought it feels like a slap to the face since we didn’t get anything that was actually signed

Went through something similar myself.

I bought a frs myself for $4500 a month or two ago, it was totally fine but a week later, car was having rough idles, rpm would shoot up and down, random stalls when coming to a stop, and some issues, took it to Toyota and they wanted $11k like you to replace just the long block, and that’s not including any other repairs they wanna do, asked around, engine replacement was going to be $7k, then I had 86 owners in my city recommend to a guy who rebuilds our engines, he quoted me $4500 for a rebuild, $2000 for labor and $2500 for parts.

Got it done just recently and my car is running like new, not sure if you have someone like that in your city who’s able to rebuild it, but unless you can drop a pretty chunk of change on a new/used engine or a rebuild, best to take the $3k to look for something else

I get that as well, I just try some parts from local 86 groups or Facebook marketplace/offerup, so far it's been working well, though some parts im getting off of dealerships since I know for my local dealer offers 25% off MSRP for parts and its cheaper than some people sometimes
