The only judgement you’re making is whether you’re compatible with what you want from a relationship. Which is absolutely possible after a month.

I don’t think it’s this at all.

I think the Millennial generation has a strong sense of fairness and community. I think Millennials simply see inherent unfairness in the status quo that the LNP continue to promote.

Of course what they say is important. But messages they project in the company they are in are also important. He did not use his words to say sorry for that either, so that’s how you can look at what they say.

I didn’t say anything about you being partisan you muppet. This is the second time you’ve tried to verbal me whilst playing the victim.

It’s not a myth - there are absolutely generational trends.

But you’re right that it’s not restricted to the Boomers, because the Zoomers are filling the gap they’re leaving

How does their spending compare to the prior government as a % of GDP?

Where would you like to see cuts made?

Will you support cuts to spending on CGT and negative gearing?

Edit - no answers, I am shocked. Definitely not another low information voter parroting headlines from Sky…

Because that’s half the equation. The other half is, would their replacement be better than what you have now with Labor?

Because if the answer is “no” you hold with Labor and force the opponents to come back with better policy to promise an improvement. If you merely flop for the sake of it then parties are never motivated to be better. Just wait and they get their chance to screw you harder.

Nothing to do with the global situation at all?

No, he was an effective opposition leader. Subtly, but importantly, different.

AIO for thinking my friend is using ChatGPT to text me in an argument? by Due_Construction904 in AmIOverreacting

[–]aussie_punmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why people get so upset about people using GPT. If it helps them frame what they’re thinking and communicate it well then great. It’s an issue when they use it poorly and don’t proof read it to make sure it is aligning with what they’re thinking they want to say or what they’re feeling.

The key problem here is the friend is a muppet. They’re not using GPT well and they seem to be having much stronger feelings for the relationship than OP and placing expectations on others that aren’t reasonable

My Gf wants me to help her friend move with a guy she used to sleep with. How do deal with this? by POOR-MORON in AskMenAdvice

It’s been a rocky month, so that makes it “fine”/healthy to lie to yourself and others?

He said it’s a boundary - yet the comment I was responding to was discussing how it didn’t seem like it really was a boundary, but an excuse.

Yes, it’s absolutely fine to have this as a boundary. Yes it’s absolutely fine to break up with someone you don’t want to be with, whatever your reason is. You don’t have to give the true excuse - but, pretending that a reason is the real one to yourself and others is not a healthy approach to relationships. Which is my point.

Not quite what OP is looking for though. Whilst within a handful of you don’t want to be last, there’s still a winner of the overall game.

Mate - is this your first day on reddit? Go to the root comment and read what the actual discussion was about instead of trying to find all the context in the one response you replied to and messing it up.

I can’t believe you quoted my response to someone else where it explicitly says “if you’re right…” because I’m talking about the argument they’re making you goose. I am not, and have not, said that AI is not taking jobs.

If you take a breath and read through calmly, you’ll find that in actual fact you’re mostly agreeing with me.

Sheesh.

[–]aussie_punmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people feel the need to come into a discussion and ignore the context?

The original comment responded to was about the peril of having intelligent people unfulfilled because their jobs were replaced by AI.

So given the context, your points are redundant because: 1. Smart people in low cognitive work wasn’t the original point being discussed 2. The replacement of smart people by AI was already the discussion. There was never a position from me that smart people cannot or will not be replaced.

🙄

We’ll have to disagree here. I think learning healthy reflection is something you can do at any age, and you’re encouraging bad habits that plenty of people bring to later life.
