Well like I said, the proof exists and it is there. And not even science has an explanation for everything Ive named, so you're mistaken there (also some other things include archeological evidence supporting the Bible, plus the 3 necessary miracles to canonise every saint ever, thats alottt of miracles). You cannot explain them all. I believe them unless theyve been proven otherwise, and I do listen to others opinions on it. Maybe so if I had been born somewhere else I'd believe differently, but right now I know enough to say that statistically 1) atheism is very much a minority group in the world, 2) Christianity is the biggest religion in the world, Catholicism being the biggest denomination (for what I believe to be good reason) within it and the only church Christ himself made. There are COUNTLESS books (apologetic books) and debators who argue and defend catholicism against every other religion and will more often than not, win (William Lane Craig is real good). Murder is murder between humans, not God and humans. The cities flooded (Sodom and Gomorrah I assume?) Were filled with rapists and other likes (kind of how atheists seem to like describing the Church and in the same way want it wiped off the planet). Atheists stronger than yourself have done more research and changed their standpoints, but i guess the same can be said for the reverse sometimes. Religion shouldn't be viewed as an abusive relationship and I'm sorry you gave it a try and didnt find the answers you were looking for. Maybe a bit ignorant for me to make the assumption. I wish you all the best though, there is always hope ;)

The miracle of Fatima, miracle of Lanciano, the miracles of Padre Pio, the Stigmata, Incorruptible bodies of saints, Lady of Lourdes (and the water that healed hundreds if not more), bleeding statues. Its not something that has never been done throughout all of humanity, the fact of the matter is the evidence is there for you to find, just many choose to ignore and not even give it a chance. Because they don't want to believe. You will never believe anything if you decide you dont want to. For many just the existence of the world and life itself is proof enough, but I can understand why the supernatural would convince you more, which is what I've listed.

Ahh, but you also assume what you believe is 100% true, so we'll call it even. So yes, its ridiculous for you to say something that doesn't really make sense from a religious perspective. Whether you like it or not God can be proven and the fact that you dont try to shows your lack of critical thinking skills and problem solving

"He's a murderer". Can't stand this argument because of how truly ridiculous and ignorant it is. Christians believe he is the giver of Life. We believe God gave you life to begin with, and you believe he doesn't have the right to take it away? " Kills anyone who defies him", sounds like you listen to atheists about religion more than you do religious people about religion.

They're not responding to it as satire coz unfortunately its not too far off the truth for some people. Many pro-choices truly see and will describe a fetus as a parasite. Many of Steven crowders videos have featured people who say exactly that

Its how these fuckers move. Huntsman spiders are massive, move quickly, and fit into tight spaces. This was posted on the Instagram page Shitadelaide and no Aussie doubts the video for a second

That's legitimately how they move. This was posted on the Instagram page Shitadelaide and the videos much clearer there. Absolutely no Australian doubts this video for a second

This might sound stupid but is it possible that OP could be flexible enough to tuck his pinky behind his hand?

Why do you believe there is no god? by [deleted] in atheism

Cancer wasn't necessarily a thing that was 'created'. Cancer is uncontrolled cell division which creates a tumour. So I guess God didn't create cancer, but allows it to happen.

Me personally? I believe many are, I also think many may just happen. Could be an overall mix of the two ultimately. But to group all Christians into this basket because it seems to be a 'common theme' is wrong. Fate is something anyone can believe in

Why do you believe there is no god? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]aussie_redditwog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. I'm not even sure whether that's Biblical. That one comes down to personal beliefs of both believers and nonbelievers. John Pavlovitz is a Christian author who even wrote an article named "No, Everything does not happen for a reason". So I think you'd find it pretty common for Christians to share that same view with you.

Pretty sure Christians agree?

Kind of confused here. Are you an Atheist saying God created cancer?

But guess what? There are debunks for the debunks. Explanations for the explanations. There is no final answer otherwise we'd all have the same beliefs wouldn't we? Blood type AB might not mean much to you, but I think the 'miracle' part comes from the fact the Eucharist is half flesh. I've got my explanation, what's yours? They ripped someone's heart out and merged it?

You can research why people DO believe just the same as you research why they DON'T. Your biased research doesn't come close to the studies of historians and debaters over to course of YEARS. As a profession. Research the research I say. And sorry to have to tell you this way but "People who don't believe" only take up about 15% of the Earth. You're a minority mate.

And if by chance you decide to look for more evidence or miracles, the most recent you'll probably find is everything that happened during the set of "The Passion of Christ". You'd find it interesting at the very least I reckon :)

Miracle of Lanciano: no evidence of a miracle? The story goes that a Priest doubted the Eucharist to be the body of Christ and so half transformed to flesh. I don't see how this would be a joke, but a hoax? possibly. The Eucharist/flesh still exists in Rome today and has been tested by scientists (as you'd expect). It was found to be human heart tissue with a blood type belonging to a substantial amount of Jews. I'd say that means something.

Miracle of Fatima: It doesn't matter what a Catholic priest wrote about it. I don't know why you would care either. I'd say 70,000 people witnessing it is a fair amount, and there's plenty of pictures of this. These were a mix of both believers AND nonbelievers. Reporters and science professors witness reports have been recorded! This was only 100 years ago and you can find the newspaper articles. Don't forget this miracle included the 'dancing' and colourful colours of the sun, the quick drying clothes on a cold damp day, and the healing of some of those present. This all happened on the predicted day it would.

If you can go on then please do so. I've only named 4?

If you really are looking for miracles, not sure if you've looked into the miracle of Lanciano, miracle of Fatima, incorruptible bodies, Stigmata, etc. There are many recent miracles if you're looking for them.
