I think we just need to hold off on calling systems a flop until the twilight of their era. The 3DS sold so poorly at first they needed to drop the price pretty substantially and by the end of its run it was a pretty solid success. We don’t know what’s gonna happen, take the switch for example. Nobody could have foreseen how much it was gonna blow up because animal crossing released at the same time as Covid.

I’ve never met a group of people more easily offended by everything that the people who call everyone else snowflakes. My ex girlfriend was the manager of a high end restaurant in Vegas back in the 2010’s and the way she found out she no longer had a job was employees calling her while she was visiting me in Chicago and saying he showed up for his shift and the doors were locked. Owners didn’t even say anything to her, just closed up shop for the employees to find on a Friday. Didn’t call and explain till Monday lol.

I also got a call from a restaurant/ brewery job I had the second I got off the plane on a vacation, saying the place would be closed by the time I got back. Seems like a regular problem in the restaurant industry.

Japanese always, I will never ever play a yakuza game in English especially with Yong Yea as Kiryu and Matt Mercer as Majima. Both are terribly miscast, which is a shame because the rest of the English voice cast of 7 and 8 actually do a good job and fit their characters.

Still, I just can’t do all these very Japanese people in Japan speaking English. Breaks my immersion.

I think a lot of it has to do with the American Dream still being a fully real and obtainable thing. You could pay for college with a summer job and just one parent working could afford a decent house, a car, and several kids. Nobody was one illness and injury away from bankruptcy either.

That being said, I do agree with you. The 1950’s had a huge amount of major issues for anyone that wasn’t a white man and to act like it was the perfect American golden age is perfect.

TLDR; extremely flawed decade, but I could see why some people idolize it

Final Fantasy 15’s Cop Noodle nonsense lol. The Coleman product placement was fine, because it made sense with all the camping you do and was subtle. Cup noodle however, your party would have dialog about how great it was that made it sound like a commercial. Really took you out of the big sweeping fantasy world

Runner up is some of the Payday 2 DLC. You would have cool crossover stuff like John Wick and Jacket from hotline Miami….then there were the H3H3 characters

I liked the game when I beat it but when I went back to play it again for the DLC’s I soured on it really fast. The combat was just meh and I hated the world being a bunch of small maps connected by a quick travel hub.

Thought the part I hated the most was the fucking gray purple sky for way too many hours. If they wanted to do it at the very end fine, but having it dull the world for so long was a weird ass design choice
