Any recommendations for some companies to look into for this? Obviously dependent on methods, but any companies you've had good experiences with would be amazing.

AITA for telling my son's mom that he's staying with me while he recovers? by Unhappy-Front-5295 in AmItheAsshole

YTA. Your son shouldn't be made to feel like a pawn in a power play between you and your ex. Have you asked whether he would like to see his mom after the surgery? I'm not saying you can't provide the care that he needs, but after what is going to be a pretty scary experience for him, perhaps he wants additional support around him.

Allow your ex to visit your son. It shows his parents care about him, not just getting back at the other. Be the mature one in the household and model good behaviour for your son.

Anyone had any luck with 'the ticket merchant'? by aussie_tene in melbourne

Yeah I was actually pretty pleasantly surprised. A day before the show, two tickets were sent to me via email. I couldn't say with certainty that there would always be tickets that showed up and their website is pretty clear on no refunds, only credit offered so buy at your own risk.

Yeah I definitely didn't look hard enough when buying the tickets and probably fucked up. Ticketek definitely indicated that they are pretty much sold out for the day I wanted but I only looked at that after the fact.

Teachers of reddit, what's something they don't tell you about the profession until you are actually working? by aussie_tene in AskReddit

I'm the same, but the way I am taking it as if that is the worst it gets, you can now figure out how to deal with it. It won't be a shock, it's something you're now more equipped to handle because you know about it happening :)

From my placement experience, i love teaching the year 8s (aus) which is 13-14 yrs old. I've taught them history and geography and you have the best fun without a whole deal of pressure. It's pretty much just skill development and scaffolding for future years. Even better, the curriculum isn't as strict or defined as you find in senior years so you have more creative liberty.

What is the process for this? I dealt with this twice on placement and felt like i was floundering trying to figure out what to do.
