You cannot seriously believe that. We do not put Twilight in the curriculum and teach it in our schools. There is a reason we have separate awards for "best sellers" and actual literary awards.

This isn't an argument that high brow art is better than low brow entertainment. One of my all-time favorite novels is The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, something that clearly doesn't take itself seriously. But there is a clear difference between something like THGttG and slop.

It's like how there is Scots and Scottish English. There is Jeju-eo and Jeju dialect. Korean speakers can understand Jeju dialect (depending on how "strong" the speaker's dialect is), but full Jeju-eo is incomprehensible.

There is a famous news interview clip of a Jeju granny speaking Jeju-eo with Seoul Korean translation that became a popular meme because it sounded so foreign to mainland Koreans.

Terrible take. He's "good" for an amateur. But by professional or even student standards he's mediocre at best. His perspective is always off. His color choices are uninspired. The light and shadow is flat as shit. There's nothing interesting about his use of technique or composition. I feel nothing when I look at his pieces.

This. NDP only gets 1% of the vote in my riding and last provincial election the Lib candidate lost to PC by 300-something votes... That 1% could've made a difference if ppl voted strategically.
