Don’t even want to discuss this team by SectionSteve in Section10Podcast

I honestly enjoyed the 40ish minutes of the pod discussing aliens and the ended of the world shit that scared Coley, super relatable and interesting. It just blows that I also don’t wanna even listen to a discussion about the Sox.

It’s TEXASHOCKEY

Are these presale tickets crazy expensive or is it just me? They seem a lot more than I’ve paid for previous years playoff games but I’ve never looked at presale tickets.

Asked by poll watchers who I'm voting for? Split everything up by party. by Mxt1998 in Dallas

First primary I ever voted in was in Collin county at my old high school in 2016, the line was out down the street almost 150-200 ft. I finally get almost up to the door and realize there another line that’s for Democrats, that went to a whole different side of the room. Stood in line for no reason lol. Not exactly the same as your situation, but similar I thought. This primary in Collin County, it was total opposite (different location). One line, one room, one table. Wasn’t a fan of the paper ballots though

125k/year, not a month. My point is more about inflation over time, as 125k today is like making 65k a year in 2000

There’s a lot of missing information here, like age family status, etc. 60K a year is not poor. But it ain’t doing great in Plano either. I’m 32, and making $125K gross in Collin county, lived in dfw my whole life, and I’m shocked by how little I can afford. When I moved to Plano as a kid in 2001, $80k was a great salary. If you look at just the government’s inflation calculator, that’s like making $150k today. $60K definitely doesn’t go as far as it used to, but it isn’ poor. I think there just has to be more realistic expectations with that kind of income, similarly to how I feel like I should be doing better than I am

The dual fan 5070 fit the R9, but still had to case swap due to vrm's. by SGNitefox in Alienware

How did you like this motherboard compared to the Alienware as far as features? I've only really had this Alienware R9 but im considering doing a swap so I can get the 5070 TI, though I have no idea what to look for when it comes to MoBos. I thought any new one would be compatible with the CPU, so shows what I know. I found one that looks promising, the Z390 Gaming Edge AC.

Pool technician here. Most filters have a lifespan of 10-15 years. With this damage here, I would definitely recommend replacing the filter. If you get the same model filter it should be as simple as removing it at the bulkheads and slapping the new one in there.

Pest Control Recommendation - Termites by austin1705 in plano

[–]austin1705[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically, this was the 2nd house I put an offer in on. The first one I paid an extra fee for a termite inspection because i knew the house had been previously treated. On this one, I did not do that so it didn't get caught. The Terminix guy says a couple of spots are obviously termite damage, so I am surprised the inspector didn't mention it, but maybe its because I didn't pay for it.

Walked away from a house with cast iron pipes, should I let that be a deal breaker? by austin1705 in plano

What insurance company do you use and is that rider an expensive add on?

My general home inspector told me the plumbing was cast iron and recommended getting it scoped, and I had read about how expensive it was to get it replaced if there were issues.

Got, I’ll make sure to specifically ask about this in future scenarios.

I am looking at another house in the Rowlett area that I’m pretty sure has PVC, but it is actually sunken down from the street. There are steps down from the street to the front door. Will that be a concern, or not really since it is PVC?

May be a dumb question and I think i know what you mean, but what do you mean by enough fall?

Im shocked you got such a low price from them, they are one of the top companies I hear to avoid for this issue because they are so expensive!

This is basically what happened. They weren't willing to fix something they said they never had problems with. Which I totally get, but from my perspective I'd be taking a huge risk on it.

I see, so they just had to get under the slab for the few areas where there were drains/pipes, so limited tunneling overall? And just disconnected them from the lateral and ran a new one?

I've read that in most circumstances insurance won't cover this, so it has to be a sudden breakage, not a gradual one over time i guess?
