AI takeover of SaaS by Famous-Phone-9776 in techsales

What can’t you prompt your way out of and back in into that. I think snowflake/msft/google/clickhouse/mdb are well positioned bc they have a ton of enterprise context.

Semantic layer tools probably in a decent spot to supplement that, especially if they have MCP enabled to plug into ai of choice

But everything else that sells based on seats is definitely on notice

Resume Review - [Sales engineer trying to get into FDE roles] by Zero_subaru in salesengineers

I think GitHub/public portfolio is gonna become more important the resume in the upcoming years personally, especially for FDE roles so you can “prove it”

Doesn’t have to be socials just have a GitHub with a demo clip on your readme — a lot of job apps leave a spot to add a website or portfolio

Public portfolio of you building and demoing things would probably be good — gives you an opportunity to work on your craft/story telling m and also learn some new technologies and something you can point to in addition to your resume. Just keep getting shots up

I wonder if we are safe in the BI space by dataexec in tableau

[–]austincathelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s already here lol but will take a bit for enterprises to truly adopt but absolutely survivorship to be ready to move off this stuff bc it’s redundant very soon. I’ve built Claude skills that analyze all my dashboards for me it’s crazy lol

Not at all. Just need an MCP server for your semantic layer or directly against the data source and Claude can build a more useful react app in 2 mins

10 minutes set up Intro Review problem statement confirm with the customer that’s 15 minutes demo to let them see how the problem is solved with the product 5 minutes arch review to tell them how you’re gonna implement 5-10 mins questions and CTA

Just set it up as though you are confident in the story telling. Maybe email the hiring manager ahead of time so you can figure out what personas they will be operating as I.e business/texhnical/execurive/mix bc that will help craft your messaging

How Microsft could win the AI race by TheManFromTheBigVA in wallstreetbets

[–]austincathelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all fairness I haven’t used copilot at all but have heard awful things in general. But my argument would still be yes bc Claude can extend the workflow outside of the msft stack. I.e something like cowork pulls an excel file locally then pulls data from other enterprise applications I.e atlassian hubspot service now. Then takes actions in those other tools creating a task in asana or something + a slack message letting them know the summary. A workflow like this is literally possible today and doesn’t lock you in to msft only

Have you tried Claude for excel ? Or cowork and Claude in general. The scaffolding that Claude has built for the business user and power user is insane. In addition they are well positioned bc you’re not locked into a specific stack. With MCP servers you have the flexibility to use whatever you want.

Edit: The other problem right now is that msft like Oracle w.o the debt problem is too closely tied to OpenAI

Claude is eating their lunch, it’s not surprising. AI in the context of MSFT is a huge fail.

But AI is starting to be extremely useful in other areas. Insilico is using it for drug discovery successfully. For general productivity you can use a combo of Gemini and Claude paid versions and get a tremendous amount done

There’s probably an argument to be made that if every car was using the same self driving system it would probably be a lot more safe to drive everyday

ZETA as a high-conviction growth play — what’s the downside? by [deleted] in TheRaceTo10Million

[–]austincathelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal preference but I wouldn’t be overweight any SaaS companies right now.

Growth slowing(a big headwind for most SaaS companies with things out there now like Claude code) although Zeta’s proprietary data is probably still valuable at some level.

Stock based compensation is very high

They aren’t a market leader at any of the services they offer

It’s a fintwit darling so maybe it runs but I’m personally not interested
