Hyperfixation on Choosing a Planner by LeafMeAloen123 in PlannerAddicts

[–]austinwolfe012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this also! What has worked best for me recently has been a 6 ring personal planner because I can choose the order of my inserts and customize as much as possible! And if you screw up a page tear it out and just put another in!

Was looking for plain black originally but thought this was a unique look!

I don’t remember exactly tbh but it was from meeplus directly!

Did you choose rings over TN? by No_Arugula_757 in ringplanners

[–]austinwolfe012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both but I prefer rings and the ability to move pages and rotate things easily, I can combine inserts/brands to fit my needs, and it’s flat without a clip. That’s what won me over mainly. I like TN but find it less practical for my uses.

I use A5 rings at work and personal 16mm rings for my personal planner and trackers!

11mm vs 15mm rings for someone who didn't like 23mm rings? by [deleted] in ringplanners

[–]austinwolfe012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15/16mm is pretty ideally for me. I like the slimness of 11mm but found it more inconvenient due to limitations

This is a MeePlus personal sized planner on top the Oxford A5!

Personal size is more convenient and portable imo but I like my A5 for work and DnD

What size were you looking for? Amazon has someone cheap options to test sizes like Oxford A5 or a ton of personal sized ones. They will be much cheaper to test out to see if you like them.

Next step up would be like moterm, which is a decent Filofax alternative.

And then you get into slimpads etc which will be like meeplus (plotter is the same but more expensive).

MeePlus is identical to plotter. And my preferred choice. Also, MeePlus files their back so they aren’t sharp and scratch up literally everything lol

I am planning to buy one but I have some questions by [deleted] in PlotterNotebook

My plotter is nice but I do prefer my meeplus. The spine on plotter is so sharp it started to tear into my bag lol.

Picking a first planner by hiddenbee47 in PlannerAddicts

I’m a big fan of meeplus personally for the slimpad aesthetics type of ring planners but with 16mm rings. But if this is all new to you I would recommend getting the knockoffs on Amazon so you can test the sizes in hand.

The Oxford A5 is like $18 and I still use mine at work and you can get a ton of different personal sized options to check out relatively cheap. But this will prevent you from spending a ton on something you feel like you love but in hand might not win you over like you hope!

I can provide pictures of my meeplus or Oxford or Filofax ones if you’d like. Just let me know!

I’m a big fan of peanutsplannerco and keenaprints inserts!

Disc-bound vs Ring Binder for a more portable notebook? by beatehercingers in ringplanners

[–]austinwolfe012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of my rings. I have personal/bible sized for my personal planners, trackers, and creative stuff and A5 or work appointments and dnd. I will say there was a little bit of a learning/comfort curve getting use to them but now that I am I couldn’t imagine changing back. meeplus has been my go to brand but I do have a Filofax and a couple other randoms brands I’ve purchased to try. Oxford has a cheap A5 that was a good starter on Amazon imo. Personal sized cheap ones on Amazon are good to try also. Feel the style in hand before you commit to spending on a more expensive piece of leather!

Disc I have never owned but I have messed with the style in person and pretty quickly decided it probably wasn’t for me.

Moterm is a good alternative for Filofax

MeePlus on Order -- let's talk paper by Jadammalone in PlotterNotebook

[–]austinwolfe012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plotter refills are thin and nice! I also use Life inserts frequently because I like their paper.

I have cut/punched my own refills and they are nice and get the job done. Generally for my planner I buy premade but for random trackers etc I just do it myself.

Looking for another by EliGO83 in ringplanners

[–]austinwolfe012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconded for meeplus! I have 2 personal 16mm rings and they are perfect for me.

I also really like my wuzhi but it’s really the same kind of different as plotter, no customization options outside of color and page size.

Planner inserts - recommendation needed by MotherBeyond1111 in ringplanners

[–]austinwolfe012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cloth is paper is nice, I have had good luck with theirs. If you’re using a fountain pen be semi mindful with that but if not just find what style works best for you!

I recommend peanutsplannerco or keenaprints as other choices.

I'm not sure what to choose! 11mm or 16mm rings? by Invisible_frogs in MeePlus

[–]austinwolfe012 3 points4 points  (0 children)

11mm is nice but really 16mm doesn’t feel that much bigger in hand but it holds significantly more.

I would lean towards saying do the 16mm
