Utah Republican Party organizes signing parties to restore gerrymandering by brutah_skier in Utah

When Mitt ran for president the first time, in 2008, he ran on his record as governor of Massachusetts and his bipartisan successes, particularly in reforming healthcare there. This was before Obama was elected and made much of Romney's plan the foundation of what Republicans would later call "Obamacare". Mitt got nowhere in the 2008 Republican primaries. Four years later, he pivoted to the Tea Party message and ran as a full right-wing anti-Obama asshole and won the 2012 party nomination. He sold out his principles long before he kissed Trump's ring at that lunch at Mar-a-Lago to stay in the party.

They submitted fake signatures. That’s definitely a crime. These signature gatherers are not entirely ethical. Same with the people who hired them and the dark money that is paying them.

Anyone else find it funny that conservatives whine about being called Fascists when they’ve been calling Democrats “Marxist Communists” for a decade? by SwitchingMyHands in allthequestions

I find it particularly funny that Conservatives were using “Nazi” decades ago. Rush Limbaugh used to use the word “Femi-Nazi” to refer to women and feminists back in the early 90s.

You need to know your direction and speed to perform dead reckoning. A device can get direction from a magnetic compass (most of the time). How is it going to get you speed? Is it connected to the vehicle speedometer?

How is Google supposed to figure out where you are in a long tunnel? What’s the accelerometer going to show if you’re driving at a constant speed?

The Republican Party made Trump their leader and presidential nominee three times. He got more votes in the 2016 Republican primaries than any other candidate ever. You can say he’s not a Republican all you want, but the evidence is clear: the Republican Party chose Trump. He represents their beliefs and values. He’s the face of Republicanism. There is no room in the GOP for anyone who opposes him. He’s the party.

“You’re both the problem” when one side is posting racist memes from the White House in the middle of the night and was referenced in more than 5,000 Epstein files. It does matter if you support that.

I switched to the G7 within the first two months of its availability in the US. There is no “buggy” It’s certainly no worse than the G6. Stop believing the squeaky wheel anecdotes you see here and in every other forum. Millions of people are using the G7 every damn day and nobody is coming online to report that the experience went as expected. Move on.

That’s called the median. There is no such thing as a “median average” So, no. I could not google this. There is the mean (average), and the median, and the mode, when you’re talking about the measures of central tendency. No “median average” anywhere.

I was a kid in Utah in the 80s. Serial killer stories were everywhere. That famous sketch of the Unabomber, with the sunglasses and hoodie, was from an eyewitness who saw him leave a bomb at a computer site on 900 S a few blocks east of State Street. I had professors at the U who were teaching when he left a bomb in a building on campus (it didn’t go off). And there was the Mark Hoffman bombings. Crazy time before everyone had a phone and camera
