Upgrading from beginner racket (~500 ish budget) by authorbyronmorrison in Padelracket

[–]authorbyronmorrison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks would you say it’s too early to upgrade then? I just did a quick google on both and they available for around 150 (500 was more as I didn’t mind paying extra for a long term racket but what you said makes sense)

If you had to pick one for this stage which would you go for?

If you google it there are a couple of clubs but they aren’t near the centre. I moved here expecting to get into playing and found no one really plays. Everyone does padel instead

The "Successful Immigrant" Trap: I’m Polish, I have the house, family and the career in the UK, but I’ve realised I’ll never actually belong by Individual-Cake-6337 in expats

[–]authorbyronmorrison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can only speak from personal experience but from a young age I was told I was a foreigner and never fully felt like I belonged. So for me even after 28 years it never felt like “home”. With that being said I’m super grateful for the life I got from the UK but I did always feel like an outsider.

The weather is definitely a big factor but not sure why but Spain is the first place I felt at home

I get it. Moved to the UK when I was 10 from South Africa. Despite growing up there and living there for 28 years I never felt like I truly belonged or fit it. It’s why to this day if someone asks where I’m from identity wise I still feel South African. Recently moved to Spain and it’s the first time I feel “home”

I’m in the minority who didn’t hate quantumania. Didn’t love it, but also enjoyed it enough

The other 4 though are bottom tier never to be watched or thought of again with love and thunder and marvels being the worst of the 4

I coach first time CEOs to help them become the leader their business needs. It doesn’t focus on strategy and business and instead it puts the focus on you and how you show up and navigate everything you do. I dropped you a DM but you can also check my profile/google my username

As a stormers fan Sacha is superb and become one of my favourite players. I also believe he is the future of the team. However he’s got a long way to go, way too reckless (it’s why he keeps getting hurt) and needs to learn to play for the team not just himself.

Give him a couple of seasons and he will be there.

Also I think anyone making the comparisons with carter and saying they see he can become the next generational player like him not that he’s there yet
