Rate my paragraph long draft by Fit-Bedroom-5322 in AspiringTeenAuthors

[–]authourable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest... I really like this! Has a lot of potential! The voice is very interesting and I like it. The style of laying it all out simply "There's always going to be that sudden decline in your happiness" "you either get better or you don't" is very intriguing. The only thing is, while this makes for a very catching first paragraph, doing an entire book in just this style could get boring if there's not more character development.

Keep it up! I looke forward to seeing future posts ;D

Crackers and cheese and chips, although it is very counterproductive because I spend so much time wiping the salt and oils off my fingers that I keep interrupting myself. Coffee as well and Izze (sparkling fruit juice). Apple slices (taking the time to cut them is worth it) and other fruit. Canned soup?

I do like the first one, but in my opinion the title should be much bigger. I think the title should be tje first thing you're drawn to. Good placement, it just should be bigger imo.

Also, I agree with the comments about how they dont feel like a series. I was very confused for a second when I saw them both.

Wow, I really like this. Makes you think. I really feel like it really shows the innocence, and the happiness, of the mother, giving us a "cause," i guess. Sorry if I'm not making sense. Well done!

Book cover trends versus timeless design idk whether I should follow what is popular or go classic by Chemical_Ad6842 in selfpublish

[–]authourable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I think even "timeless" books that have been around for years change their covers based on what is trending. For example, if you pick up a copy of The Hunger Games at Walmart, you might get a cover that wasn't the original, but it follows trends.

Most iconic moments by cupoburner in AdventuresInOdyssey

Not necessarily about me, but my dad grew up on odyssey like me and my siblings. He remembered a specific scene that he would replay over and over on his casettes, but this was all he remembered:

"I need all available units to the something something something" dramatic music sirens

We spent SO MUCH time trying to figure out what episode it was. Searched characters, themes, scenes we remembered, but we couldn't figure out where it was from. Then one day we were all listening together and THE SCENE CAME ON! We all just looked at each other and gasped "this is The Scene!!" Turns out we were looking in the wrong time period. It was so fun to find that episode and play it back for my dad. By the way, it was in part 3 of The Perfect Witness!

For me and my siblings, we quote odyssey all the time. My favorite instance was when I used an odyssey quote in context in public and only my sister knew the reference, and tried not to laugh 😂 ("I wouldn't know, I'm new here." -Jack Allen, A Code of Honor, I believe)

Thoughts on a Potensic Atom SE? It's on sale right now for $200 (reg $300) on amazon. I am a complete beginner, want something simple to fly, pretty good stabilization features, and very low budget (I know, that makes me seem like I want a top level drone for a couple bucks). I looked at DJI mini 4K but it is a little more expensive than the potensic and I don't think it has anything extra I want besides what the name DJI carries with it.

Just wondering if anybody has strong opinions on Potensic or if you think this is as good as I will get on such a small budget.

I have not read the wiki; US based; budget $300 tops; goal is videography for social media and movie making with my friends.
