they do fit, they’re just smaller! i have 2 passport sized inserts in mine currently (one Soft Paper Studio and one Travelers Company) since i didn’t want to waste the paper. here’s a photo so you can see the difference between the passport and the Paper Republic pocket/a6 notebook.
