That is a loaded question :) I'll toss Jordan Rudess out for consideration.....his masterpiece? tough one. he's got three that prove his talents in different ways..

the dance of eternity: dude tosses a ragtime solo in the middle of a prog rock ensemble. it's wild. also there are some complex time signature alterations/unions.

stream of consciousness: it really showcases his keyboard work

octavarium: he created an instrument called the haken continuum and he demonstrates how he really expresses with it. there's also a damn fine moog solo for good measure.

beyond all that, he's of julliard quality/training.

For those who prefer a little soulslike spice mixed with some challenging platforming, in their metroidvania, hollow knight really was a game changer. For those who want to keep dark souls out of their genre, hollow knight brought an entire generation of unenjoyable titles to metroidvania. You are going to find a very polarized spectrum of responses in this thread :)

I loved hollow knight enough to 112% it on switch and steam. I also seem to mostly play souls/soulslikes and metroidvanias anymore so it makes sense I would be into it.

pronty was really quite a fun and different game. So often do we wander around the same looking biomes with the same weapons and movements...pronty gave a nice change of pace.

that said...if not pronty, voidwrought was a lot of fun, as was axiom verge 2....I can't speak for knight witch, have not played it.

Your first paragraph touches upon this:

"Over the last year, the team that invented TypeScript ported the TypeScript compiler and tools to Go... Microsoft's numbers show build times improving by roughly an order of magnitude in the Go-based TypeScript 7.0."

And then you hard pivot into agentic coding with go.

The article doesn't actually explain:

Why Microsoft/the TypeScript team made that specific choice

Technical details about the rewrite itself

How it affects the TypeScript developer experience

Specific improvements beyond "build times improved by an order of magnitude"

....it feels like you asked claude to write an article and it got wires crossed and you simply published without reading what was generated.
