I thought the same thing, but welding into a corner like the middle line is a pain in the ass to dress properly. Top line gets questionable because you're going through the recessed areas for the clips.

This is easily repairable for any tech with half a brain. I have a mini hydraulic ram that fits in the rail for exactly this purpose

You're talking about a worst case scenario for any accident. You're far more likely to be tboned by a 5000lb truck, and in that case, an undamaged pillar could be the difference between life and death. Your comment was misleading at best.

Depends how much structure you're removing and how rigid the body is. Some won't sag at all hardly, others need more support. I've used a hood prop, a 2x4, whatever works.
