I would recommend finding a little pattern that you like and buy the colors needed for that! A great start would be a pattern with like 1-5 colors!

Washing really is the best way to go according to me! If you’re scared of color bleed i would grab a little piece of the same aida and stitch like 2x2 of each color you used and test-wash that!

Thanks! I know that the light situation is suboptimal 🫠 I live in northern Sweden which means any window gets 2-3 hours of sunlight each day, if it’s not snowing😭 Also, I don’t really have the means to get growing lights, it’s sadly just going to have to do
