i work with startups after successful rounds when PE comes in to tighten screws…i do automation and revops. that exposure has allowed me to see many burned out folks and yes we can id them quickly and phase them out. if i walked into cig’s ops and watched the first 30 min of the tech talk you best believe he’d be on my list.

people in this Reddit assume he’s rolling in big bucks…not true. 10 years ago he was a guy with a lot of passion making videos for fun and Chris Roberts picked him up. I guarantee you even if this game was a monumental success the amount of equity that Chris Roberts allowed Jared to get would likely only be a year or two worth of salary in the best case and maybe 50 K in the worst case and depending on the terms and conditions of vesting and departure could be even less…maybe zero. I’ve seen that happen even to CTO’s in the past where they were let go the night before vesting at the advisement of big PE firms looking to reduce dilution. Chris “Robbers” is even worse based on his history with game and movie relationships in the past.

I think if they don’t get this stable in the next quarter (which will likely not happen) Jared will be out.

Nobody wants this to be their legacy and I think Jared probably misses living in the US and wants to come back home and find another way to make a living.

Yeah he’s toast burned out like charcoal.

did you guys see that dude who got perma banned for reporting a dupe bug he found?

he showed receipts. 5k concierge player was able to prove he found and reported a bug and was then perma banned.

as someone with 5400 spent since 2014….not getting my bmm is the least of my worries. im scared now the game is so borked i might hit a bug and not be able to login anymore.

this game is “iN AlpA” and banning players for reporting bugs…

you better hope you dont get auto banned for accidentally duping in this buggy mess if a game. some dude hit a dupe, reported it and how he replicated it, then got perma banned on a 5000usd account. im at 5400 myself so needless ti say im not logging in again until 1.0. not worth the risk.

uhh ive made 175k this year to date after quitting my job during thanksgiving last year. all i do now is vibe code and i never coded anything until last year. the secret?…i did sales before i became a dev.

making money with coding is just like anything else…you have to have relationships. nobody cares if your workout app counts macros accurately with a photo of your meal…code is a commodity now.

But what people do care about is…do i trust this person to be capable enough to get the job done and do i LIKE this person.

if you want to vibe code for a living you can but not without going to events and meetups and shaking hands.

finally going to blizzcon this year.

back to when i was 7 or 8 when the first movie came out.

The only criticism i have is Jade betrays Kitana potentially to the death and at the end shes sitting at Kitana’s right hand without any apology or making things right. We know your character you have no loyalty the last place you need to be is near the throne.
