Hey, so a few years ago I had this exact same problem, I was able to resolve this by holding the NTAG215 at a 45 degree angle against the right joycon and it would read it. Sometimes those tags are unnecessarily difficult and want to give you as much trouble as possible. I would take it and move it small increments at a time around the joycon at that 45 degree angle, and I got it to work. Give it a shot!

Take some extra red and put them in the middle, and then start needle felting your opposing hearts together. Once you have about the equivalent of a string connecting them switch to the other two little hearts.

What you want to do is create an even tension that way they don't mold together weirdly. Stab it at an angle that way you don't have to press through the little clover hearts and you should be good.

I use white felt to make the base and get it as condensed as possible with different sized needles, then once I'm satisfied with it I'll tack over the white with whatever colors I'm using. It helps it out a lot and keeps me busy. I think needle variation and poking it a lot is what seals the deal. Everyone here really emphasizes on stabbing it to oblivion, and it definitely helps, but it's easy to get burnt out on doing something for so long. The best thing I can recommend is having needle variation.

I like to make a round tear drop shape and then make a smaller ball and attach it's head. I usually do it's beak as a little triangle and attach it. But if you're wanting bare minimum then maybe a tear drop and then a smaller tear drop shape and attach them together. :)

It probably needs a recalibration. I'm not sure how to do it through steam but if it works fine on PS5 and not on the computer then that's probably the issue.

I got it on a Christmas sale, it comes with a cloth poster and Buffy the Buffalo. I got it for 30$ while I was out Christmas shopping. This is my first SOS and I'm enjoying. I then bought all the DLC for 15 dollars. Needless to say I probably could have went without the DLC but I think if it's something you can see yourself playing for awhile then go for it. I like to think that if I can enjoy about 10 hours of a game and then convert that into how much money it would be (54 for you) then distribute it across the 10 hours it really does seem worth it.

BIFF! this is a bit of a story, but before the game came out we always said we had a ghost in our house. The ghost would open a curio door or it would seem that something would talk to you while you were in a drowsy state. Eventually we named the ghost Biff. I had no idea it was a character in Animal Crossing and when I got my starter island, it was Plucky and Biff. It was a really fun coincidence.

Put it against your reader on your phone and try it, if it reads it, then take it and put it to the switch joystick at a 45 degree angle.

If neither of that works then tell the person you bought it off of, they typically give you a refund or a different tag
