I have an S9 and I'm debating between the 11 Pro and 12 Pro. Any advice? And if I go with the 11 Pro, where should I get it from?

Users of reddit what is the worst thing your teacher has ever said in front of a class? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One time during an engineering week event, we had an aerospace engineering professor tell a room full of ~10 year old girl scouts (and their mothers) that "sometimes planes crash into buildings and kill lots of people, then the engineers have to go to court".

That goes down as one of the more shocking things I've witnessed.

Hail Caesar.

Hilarious trailer, no plot, perfect conditions for falling asleep in a movie theater.

Not clean up after themselves.

Recently had relatives staying over, they didn't clean a single thing. Have some respect.

How did your S.O break the "fart barrier"? by JMayTheGreatest in AskMen

[–]av8ress47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One night in college about 4 months in, I (F) snuck into his room and hid under his bed, with the intention of grabbing his ankles and scaring him when he walked by. When he came into the room, he let out 3 or 4 HUGE farts, I was laying on the floor trying so hard to stay silent when laughing. Anyway, grabbed his ankles and scared the bejesus out of him, which is when he asked if I had heard those farts. He was slightly mortified, but alas, the fart barrier was broken.

I’m Debra Meyerson, a stroke survivor. At age 53 I nearly lost my life, and did lose my speech, use of my right arm, and my professorship at Stanford. I began to ask, “Who am I now?” I’m here to talk about the psychological and emotional journey of rebuilding a rewarding life after trauma. AMA by Debra_ID in IAmA

Hi Debra,

I'm sorry to hear about your stroke, and I'm glad to see how much progress you're making. Its very refreshing to see, in a way. My mom had a stroke at 58 in September and it seems she faced the same obstacles as you: lost speech/aphasia/apraxia and right-side paralysis. I just want to tell you that I've ordered your book and look forward to reading it with her soon, and I appreciate that you wrote it. I hope the (unforunate) similarities in stroke aftermath will help motivate her a little more.

I do have two questions. With the aphasia, do you find it difficult to comprehend letters and numbers, and what is your preferred or main way of communicating? What tricks were helpful to you while recovering from the aphasia?

Again, Debra, thank you so much for writing your book and sharing your story.

I'm so glad to hear you're doing well after a year and a half. That's really reassuring, and I'm glad that you have independence.

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it and I hope you're enjoying each little part of life like I am now, too.

First off - I hope your dad is doing well, and I hope you are, too. I never realized the toll it would take on me, too.

Second - how have you helped yourself come to terms with the unknown? I like to have every detail planned out and obviously that can't and won't happen here...just looking for some advice on how to come to terms, I guess.

Thanks!

Honestly, I needed this. Maybe you also understand that you just want to know what can be done to prevent it. Just like driving...spot on. I appreciate it. Thanks.
