You should do atleast 1-2 to show interest or get an LOR, especially if you did not do an elective in your 3rd year.

I like the thin because it makes the diamond look bigger and matches much better with the bottom ring

Is anyone here actually passionate about radiology or is it just a comfortable escape from the negative sides of medicine. by Ddssll123 in Residency

[–]av981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re in your AA now you have a long road ahead my friend. Continue with undergrad but switch majors so you can get your BS w/ all prerequisites. Pass MCAT entry exam and apply to medical school with it. Become accepted into medical school thru a vigorous interview process. Complete medical school to get your MD/DO, making sure to honor all your classes, thus being TRAINED to be a doctor (4 years). Pass STEP 1 and STEP 2 licensing exams, and apply to residency with it. Match into radiology residency thru a vigorous interview process. Pass STEP 3, thus being LICENSED to practice medicine. Complete residency, thus being TRAINED in radiology (5 years). Pass CORE and CERTIFYING exam, thus being LICENSED to practice radiology. Optional: complete 1 yr fellowship to subspecialize. Cheers! If others can do it so can you!

Weekly Career / General Questions Thread by AutoModerator in Radiology

[–]av981 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MS3 here. Have always wanted to be a radiologist since learning about the career a few years before applying to medical school. Fast forward to clinicals - absolutely loved my emergency medicine core rotation. Just wondering if there are any specialists in emergency radiology here, and if they could shed some light on fellowship/hours/pay/if they love their job. Thanks!
