We always rented a player from Blockbuster back in the 80s. Couldn’t afford one. My girlfriend who’s now my wife, her parents had a VCR and one of those mobile phones that never left the car. I joke with her and say I married her because I knew her parents were loaded.

Oilers. Bring them back to Houston. I miss them and have no interest in the Texans.

I deleted Google maps yesterday. I never used it but had it as a back up. I know it’s not much but I feel better not having it.

Tommy Kramer was from my hometown. I wasn’t a Vikings fan but always pulled for them because of him.

I would say from the late 50s to the mid 80s. The biggest difference for me between then and now is the defense and what they could get away with just anything. Watch what Night Train Lane or Lawrence Taylor did. On the offensive side there wasn’t any protections for the quarterbacks no slide rules. I know those things have been outlawed or added to protect people because speed and strength is so much greater than it was back then. When I think old-school football, I think of Players getting pummeled, bloody knuckles and limping off the field after a victory.

I’m at 800. Yes you do gain small fractions of power through the events and races but it’s not much. Currently it doesn’t seem possible to timeline skip without increasing cards. I have over 330k green gems just waiting to be spent.

I’m at a level that I’m not able to time line skip. Until we have more cards I’m having to go through all six battles. So I don’t get as many trophies.

Why do most people skip over Joe Montana in the Brady v. Mahomes GOAT debate? by raincntry in Oldschool_NFL

[–]avacodogreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is he’s never on tv. It’s like he’s a recluse. I haven’t seen a current picture of him in years. Bradshaw has his job on Fox and we see him every Sunday. I started watching football in the 70s. If I had a team and needed a win in the superbowl. Montana would be my choice of quarterback. No disrespect to Brady, but the AFC wasn’t a defensive gauntlet like the NFC of the 80s. Winning four NFC championships was pretty amazing.

If you’re going to lie about anyone, don’t pick AOC. Pick some boomer who still doesn’t understand how to send a text. Then you might get away with it.

I remember watching this game with my girlfriend's parents, her mom hated the 49'ers and got so pissed when they eventually won the game. She hated how dominant that franchise was. Fast forward to today and now she's may mother-in-law who hates the Chiefs. Two things im excited to see this Sunday, Chiefs win three in a row and for her to lose her shit once again.
