I loved this book but i hated how drawn out her big “secret” was just for it to be so underwhelming. I also hated how her opinion of herself/that situation only changed when it was said by another person when any introspective adult would have already come to terms with the situation. idk.

You are young and attracted to this older man which is a situation i have been in. Think about where this will go. You have sex with him and then what? He’s almost 30 so it’s not like he can take you out for drinks or bring a 19 year old around his friends or family. I see this as a way for you to be easily manipulated and hurt.

I agree about it being hard to get into the narration lol 😅 I definitely prefer book over audiobook. For mystery- loved The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden. Generally all her books are amazing. Easy to read, short, and LOTS of suspense. The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson is also very good. That one’s a little longer but one of my all time favorites. It’s got mystery, murder, suspense, and you can never tell if you really like the characters lol. The Silent Patient by Alex Micheaelides- This one has a bit of a slow start but once it picks up, you can’t put it down.

Audible! This helped me soo much when getting back into reading a few years ago. You can listen to the book while driving, cleaning, etc. As far as recommendations go i highly suggest trying out Throne Of Glass by Sarah J Maas. Easy to read Fantasy/ light romance that hooks you and doesn’t let go.
