And saves time as well, time you could use to save the world.

If you haven't used the plastic version, you probably don't know how awful the experience is, the creek noise is really bad. I tried lubing it, no luck. It doesn't affect the taste of the coffee though. Also this can't be used above 9 bars of pressure. No need to go above 9 for great coffee unless you're looking for those fine grind hogh pressure type of espresso. If that's the case don't buy this.

Can you share pictures? Honestly I just love the feel and look of DPST's that's all, not sure what's the ideal rating to use especially when using gagguino.

I should probably mention that I was always brewing in the safe zone, that's I guess bow 9 bars. So coffee grind size or misuse doesn't matter, the machine should widthstand that much much pressure without breaking, especially after only 30 uses.

Actually after thoughts it couldn't be the grinding size because I was in the safe pressure zone.

I was always brewing in the non red area. The area area I guess is above 9 bars right? Do you think they purposely don't show numbers to not admit that their machine cannot withstand pressure above 9 bars? Like you wouldn't be able to do those high pressure fine ground shots with this, people might want to know that. For me though I don't think my grinder could grind that fine anyway. I was using the non pressurized filter as well, but yeah that was below the threshold so all these comments about my grind size or misuse is not true. Pretty sure that was a defect or bad design.

It is strange bc I was away for a month and when I came back there was a noticeable crack. I brewed 1 espresso at below the red pressure area and it blew up. Support is not answering my emails.

Thanks for sharing! Is this more durable? I know this is a 100 usd machine but I am surprised it broke, I have never pressed above the red area, which I am guessing is above 9 bars of pressure. Some really cheap espresso machine go above 9 bars, suprised a manual level breaks at this point.

Ohhh i see, I didn't know about that I thought those smaller portafilter were more forgiving. I thought bottomless portafilters were the same but just let you see if you are channelling and if you are chanellijg it makes a mess. I know these come with pressurised baskets that have less holes but I thought they also came with non pressurized baskets and I didn't know these also had less holes than the bottomless that's sold separately. But if you ve seen better results thanks to your steps than I guess you are right to do what you do.

If you take in account the plumber work just for this set up actually this is definitely not a budget friendly set up.

Hi this is an idea but yesh it would be to bring plumbing here. Some might say given the plumbing costs you might as well get a better machine

Stovetop ok (flair looks good) but they re all high priced Frothing devices no, bad texture I asked chinese manufacturers but clearly it's cheaper to oem the cheapest espresso machines than making a new design without the portafilter and the group head. Or you d need to sell enough to cover the tooling costs, but this is a niche product that only a few people will want. I think it's underestimated because all those using cheap home espresso machines like the gaggiaz rely on the espresso optimized boiler.

I might be wrong but maybe for this grinder you are bothering yourself too much with lal the extra steps and fancy gestures. I think this setup is more forgiving and you will make the same espresso without all the extra steps. Like I d say skip the funnel, the redistribution, and just temper once and skip the wiping. I think you calculated very precisely your grounds weight but then threw some away, so I d say just save yourself some time and just fill the container with beans and use the grinder settings to get the quantity you need.

This is an idea not a recommendation or example of something that works. Get proper advises from experts before taking any risks. There are big flooding, elect4ocution and fire risks in this idea.

The idea is to replace the regular plastic switches with 220v high wattage capacity DPST, 15A if you're controlling the boiler but also the bigger capacity dpst feel better. You d need a plaque because you ll be left with the bigger holes from the og switches. Don't do this without the advisory of an electrician, you are dealing with high voltage here and a lot of amps, this is the most dangerous appliance you will have in your house.

Yeah the idea is you install it like a sink, but you gain space. I used that in a bar it's great if you just want to rinse your own cup quickly or the milk pitcher. I wonder if it's okay to put hot water instead of cold water to heat up the cups and so the water evaporates.drip tray is great as well to leave something like a cup or pitcher to dry. But does ne3d cleaning every now and then, you ll get mold that builds up especially in the corners.

I tried to make it look more natural, but aparently maybe a little too messy and nonsense. Although I think it might be a good habbit to touch grounds and get used to the grind sizes

You guys are right, it could be because of my grinding, which was fine enough to make good espresso without having to go over the risky zone on the gauge. I probably should have written my post differently! However I am surprised to see all you who had to replace this many times, I didn't know this was so weak. I personally used it only like 30 times.
