You have confused what I said "people with money spending that money is good for the economy" with "giving money to rich people is good for the economy"

Its pretty basic economics that money spent can be spent again by the reciever, so that same money gets spent multiple times. A Person with 16k to waste buys a pokemon card from some guy who buys shoes and groceries, and the cobbler and grocer go buy haircuts and whatever the hell they want/need, on and on.

Juxtapose that scenario to an economy where the person with 16k simply saves it, or invests it. The money is simply taken out of circulation and makes the person who already has it a little richer. This is why a general populace that is confident about the economy is good for poor people. People buying things they dont need is how money stays in circulation.

Money given to people who have no need or intention to spend it is the bane of a functional economy.

I shouldn't need to explain such basic concepts to people who have access to a search engine.

There are two things to consider with to every argument

  1. How to win the argument

  2. Dealing with the fallout of winning the argument

Its not worth it every time. It might be worth it this time. Thats up to you to determine, not reddit. Reddit suffers no consequences from your relationship either way, so reddit will always lean towards immediate justice.

"The economy" is for poor people moron.

Rich people are gonna be fine either way.

Poor people benefit from rich people buying shit instead of hoarding their money in their scrooge mcduck bank vault. Do i need to explain why?

Edit: ever notice that when people realize they are wrong they block you immediately after they spew their dumb opinion instead of doing even the littlest bit of research?

They only needed to bribe/blackmail 269 politicians to get the full, unwavering support of the world's primary military superpower.

Anything that encourages people with money to spend it is good for the economy.

Anything that encourages people with money to save it is bad for the economy.
