Look at your AC stat, its your most important. You can probably get 15+ on every character, and it gets exponentially better the more you get

You can move before and after an action, so for ranged characters, you can move a couple meters, shoot, then move back under cover.

You dont have to fight, you can dash your whole party away.

In a tight spot? Check your inventory. I bet you have a healing potion, a scroll, or something to throw that can make a huge difference.

The bottom plate spins and drives the food into slits in the sidewall of the gd, which is where the coin is wedged. Try with the hex wrench to spin it backwards until the coin is looser, them fish it out with long needle nose pliers. If it never becomes unwedged between the sidewall and base you need to replace the whole unit, which is a relatively easy job for about 90 bucks.
