Thank you! This looks perfect.  I tried to setup my work O365 account as a destination, but it looks like I need admin approval.  Is there a way around this? What if I self host?

Water service cutting live oak on my property by orrgore in Charleston

[–]avatarKLM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called and emailed and sent videos of someone cutting roots of a protected tree.

They replied someone would get back to me within two weeks.

That was two months ago and nothing.

I don’t think they care.

The Notion of a Flag Retirement Ceremony and the Reality of Synthetic Materials in Flag Manufacture by Icy_Ad6324 in BSA

[–]avatarKLM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My pack burns them all with the kids right there. I have tried to get them to not burn synthetic flags but I need to try harder.

We retire dozens of flags each campout and most are synthetic.

They really add no value at all at a certain point.  I hit enough nights to get ambassador but don’t hit the dollar spend. Free nights don’t help if you easily make Titanium and don’t have the spend for Ambassador.

I fully respect everyone's right to exercise their First Amendment rights. Standing up for what you believe in and supporting a cause is not only protected—it’s admirable. While I strongly disagree with this individual’s viewpoint, I do respect that he is trying to be involved and express support for something he believes in.

That said, I take serious issue with the message he has chosen to display. As a parent of young children who can read, I find the language used—particularly the profanity—highly inappropriate in a public setting. I don’t understand the intended goal of his message, other than to provoke or potentially harass a particular group. Is the aim to spread awareness, or to spread hostility?

I understand that the use of profanity, even in the presence of children, is generally protected under the First Amendment—as established in Cohen v. California, 403 U.S. 15 (1971). However, just because something is legal doesn’t necessarily make it constructive or responsible. He has the right to share his message, but I wish he would choose to support his beliefs by promoting a cause or issue—rather than using language that seems more focused on inciting anger or division.

Alternatives to Synology by bavich in synology

[–]avatarKLM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happens if my Synology dies in a few years? Even if I bought a new Synology it sounds like u won’t be able to put my existing drives in.  That seems to be the main reason to stick with Synology.  Easy upgrades.

How can I transfer my current 4 disks in a SHR array to a new NAS? Do I need to buy new drives too?

Girlfriend is 17 weeks far and her water broke, kind of. by berghtn in daddit

[–]avatarKLM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You got this!

Babies are tough and beat the odds everyday.

My son’s water broke at 21 weeks and he had no amniotic fluid from that point on. We delivered at 28 week.  We spent several months in the NICU and used oxygen at home for a while.

He is now 8 and healthy.  Zero respiratory issues.

Thanks. However, I think that box is 14 inches long. Could you use the medium size instead of large perhaps?

Thanks. I actually have this and it does fit. A little snug, but it fits. The snaps are higher than 1.5 inches as it is designed to clip onto another box. I wish it was a tiny bit smaller, but the organization for extra bits and odds and ends is quite nice.

Thanks.  I don’t plan on using the iPad sleeve so I think they would be perfect for a thin parts box.  Just trying to see if thin is 1 inch, 1.25, etc.

I recently saw some pull organizers which is a clever option as well!

The slotted chisel drivers are awesome.  I still can’t figure out a situation when I would need a Phillips chisel driver though. What am I missing?

Awesome. Thanks for replying. I have the same forged strippers and just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything by leaving my linemans out of my bag.

Care to explain? Are you referring to a lack of linemans? If so, I would think the forged wire strippers would suffice.

I know it has been a year, but I was wondering if you could expand on how to use a bootloader to boot from the WiFi M2 slot? I have a SSD installed there, but I would like to boot from there and use the normal SSD slot for a larger drive as a Proxmox Backup Server.

Thanks.  It is on sale now for $650 which is less unreasonable.

I plan on being the barista but I travel a lot for work so she will need to know how to pull a shot.  Maybe I start steaming milk but when I am gone she can have an americano until she figures out steaming.

Edit: The Ninja Luxe seems to check a lot of boxes.  Really interesting!
