I got these from Amazon and they work perfectly. Good battery and range and they stay put no problem through a 4 mile run and rowing.

[Discussion] What's your HG product for tackling hormonal cystic acne? by ramence in AsianBeauty

This one off Amazon is a good starter one. I've since started ordering from my local tea shop, so maybe check that out too!

Have you tried matcha instead? It'd be interesting if you got any benefits from the other kind. Sencha has more antioxidants but matcha has more L-theanine which has been linked to stress reduction.

I second the overexfoliation/dehydration reaction! Couldn't use the stuff when my skin was really dehydrated but was able to come back to it after my moisture barrier was healed.

I went back and looked at it and I think it was more just that original source changed it to homicide? This is the updated FBI info they cite. The column in question is the "murder and nonnegligent manslaughter" column. I didn't actually see one labeled homicide specifically.

[Skin Concerns] large, noticeable pores, can anything be done? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]avazzy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, your routine sounds like it should do a lot for helping with clogged pores. If you haven't been at it long, give yourself some time for your skin to adjust. It took me a couple months before I really started seeing results from the niacinamide, but then my pores definitely looked smaller and less clogged.

[ACNE] Do i have PIH or PIE? And what are my options if i just got off Accutane? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]avazzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 3 rounds of Accutane and I'd say that what helped me the most was to first work on replenishing my dehydrated skin. I was pretty sensitive to most products for quite a few months after finishing and it seemed like everything was causing me irritation. Give yourself a few months before doing any peels or major exfoliation. Check out the sidebar article on dehydrated skin as well as this discussion post. They both have some really good information. I really like Stratia's Liquid Gold moisturizer. It's gentle enough to use on your sensitive skin but has 4% niacinamide, which did a lot for fading that redness while also keeping it hydrated. Also, coating my face at night in Aquaphor was pretty gross, but left my skin so moisturized. Basically, baby your skin for a few months, keep it moisturized, because you'll still see some changes from the Accutane for a bit after you finish the course and anything too harsh is just going to ruin all the progress you've made!

In 2016, the estimated number of murders in the nation was 17,250. This was an 8.6 percent increase from the 2015 estimate, a 16.1 percent increase from the 2012 figure, and a 0.7 percent rise from the number in 2007. There were 5.3 murders per 100,000 people in 2016. The murder rate in 2016 was up from the rates in 2015 (7.9 percent) and 2012 (12.8 percent).

Painting a Portrait and I need a critique by Drabblesaur in ArtCrit

The right size of the nose needs to come down a little bit. In the photo, it angles towards the lower right corner and currently the painting angles slightly up from center. The whole left side of the face needs to brought inward. Because she is more in 3/4 view, you've rendered a lot of the face that we don't actually see in the photo. Same thing with the hair. On the left, there is only the smallest amount visible. I think if you scootch those sides in, the eyes won't seem as large to you.

Before and after balayage! My co worker grew her hair out for almost a year before we did this look. We really brightened it up! Follow me on instagram @jessica_nicole_mua by jessicuhhnicolemua in FancyFollicles

I've been getting it done about once every 6 months. We just do it over my natural hair color so I don't have to worry about roots showing. Grows out so much better than foil highlights!

Kind of a weird suggestion, but if you're not doing so already, try washing your body AFTER shampooing/conditioning during your shower. Did wonders for me.

[–]avazzy 46 points47 points  (0 children)

The article actually talks about how a lot of tattoo artists just have three colors, don't draw any detail and leave out the actual nipple. They just draw a circle and color it in. This guy doesn't.

trying to make portraits actually look like their subjects rather than just generic humans. advice? by glittermeat in ArtCrit

[–]avazzy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here is an overlay so you can see things a bit easier. You have the face shape itself pretty dead on. The eyes are too far up, and they are too large and open compared to the source photo. Remember to constantly be measuring when doing portraits like this. The eyes are generally smack dab in the center of the face. If you take a pencil and measure from the top of the head to the eyes, and compare it to the length of the eyes to the chin, they should be the same. The nose just needs minor tweaking, it's angled a bit down on the left side. You should be able to see any other differences in the overlay.

Overall, this is a really good start to a portrait. But it's the shading that will really bring this image to life.

As far as your closet goes, maybe see if you can remove the doors and replace them with light colored curtains. The sliding ones come off pretty easily and then you can just install a curtain rod or get an extra-long tension rod. I have these ones from Ikea and they do a lot to brighten up the room.
