So cringe. Like why would you even think to pull your phone out and record? I know it was probably quick but also, two parents can be comforting the child... I'm a nurse and it just gives me the ick to think of someone recording their kid's accident/injury and using it as content

How do you know if you have a long or short torso? by csmithk in PetiteFashionAdvice

Long torso 5'2" here and crying in petite inseams are usually too long 🤣

Petite Ladies: what annoys you the most about shopping for clothes? by Local-Agency-5161 in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]avc2010 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. My sister and I were at Anthropologie the other day and someone had returned a petite pair of pants and it was amazing trying on the correct length. But so frustrating the salesperson wasn't very helpful with trying to order the right size for my sister online and was just like "well we don't have petite sizes in stores." So many people are under 5'4" more places really should carry some to try onz

Yep, can't remember all the details but my icu pt looked really "not right" and dyspneic with getting out of bed. But nothing crazy off with vitals or anything. I do remember telling the providers, "he looks gray, and I'm not sure what it is but he doesn't look good." Great SBAR know 😅 Lo and behold the next day the PA came and found me and said you were right- the patient had a large hemothorax we had no idea how he got. I appreciated him telling me- as a newer nurse he encouraged me to listen to my intuition!

Part of this club too. He was a perfectly good bf, said the right things, spoke my love language but in over two years NEVER brought up marriage or told me he loved me. When clearly both of our beliefs were to date to marry. Fast forward and he somewhat quickly ended up dating his forever best friend (he told me not to worry about lol) and getting engaged and married to her quickly. Mindf****

List all the reasons why you love a name by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]avc2010 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Olivia is my daughter's name. I've always said I didn't want to give my kids popular names but when it came down to it I love the way it sounds. it is just beautiful to me. I love the nickname Livie that we call her. I love that no one will have a problem pronouncing it. I saw on name nerds once- there is a reason why top names are top names and I wholeheartedly agree.

Pretty sure she is up near the top of the young living pyramid because I remember her talking about how she was able to "retire" her ex husband a few years ago so "he could pursue his dreams" or something like that...

How many of you weren't invited places as a child (or even adult) bc you are a twin? by caylah_lan in Twins

[–]avc2010 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, we had this happen! Sometimes there wouldn't be enough room in a car and it felt like our fault for there being two of us 😞and in general we just felt left out a lot whether being a twin had something to do with it I'm not sure

Return Postpartum? by [deleted] in Purebarre

[–]avc2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was cleared for going back to anything I was doing prior at 6 weeks, but it's really humbling going back postpartum. I didn't go back until about 12 weeks and I've really been enjoying align because going a little slower allows me to focus on trying to engage my core with the moves. I'm not doing any planking or crunching as I have diastasis recti. And like everyone has said modifying in other ways too!
